    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing previews of deployment of data stream processing instructions sets, sometimes called pipelines, to a stream data processing system. Rather than deploying such an instruction set, which may cause detrimental side effects, previews can be facilitated by conversion of a data stream processing instructions set to a batch query that is applied to an existing data set. An output of the batch query can then be provided to an end user as a preview of output of the data stream processing instructions set, when implemented.

    Abstract: Implementations are described herein for learning mappings between a domain specific language (DSL) and images, and leveraging those mappings for various purposes. In various implementations, a method for using a DSL to generate training data may include processing data indicative of ground truth image(s) depicting a real plant using a trained image-to-DSL machine learning (ML) model to generate a first expression in the DSL that describes structure of the real plant. The first expression may include a plurality of parameters, and may be processed to programmatically generate a plurality of synthetic DSL expressions. Each respective synthetic DSL expression may describe structure of a respective synthetic plant for which parameter(s) have been altered from the first expression. The synthetic DSL expressions may be processed using a renderer to create three-dimensional (3D) synthetic plant models. Two-dimensional (2D) synthetic images may be generated that depict the 3D synthetic plant models in an area.

Upon a selection of the listed piece of equipment within the predictive text interface element, the lab automation system modifies the instruction to include the listed piece of equipment.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for vector-quantized image modeling using vision transformers and improved codebook handling. In particular, the present disclosure provides a Vector-quantized Image Modeling (VIM) approach that involves pretraining a machine learning model (e.g., Transformer model) to predict rasterized image tokens autoregressively. The discrete image tokens can be encoded from a learned Vision-Transformer-based VQGAN (example implementations of which can be referred to as ViT-VQGAN). The present disclosure proposes multiple improvements over vanilla VQGAN from architecture to codebook learning, yielding better efficiency and reconstruction fidelity. The improved ViT-VQGAN further improves vector-quantized image modeling tasks, including unconditional image generation, conditioned image generation (e.g., class-conditioned image generation), and unsupervised representation learning.

The first protocol includes a set of steps, each associated with an operation, reagent, and equipment. For each of one or more steps, the lab system modifies the step by: (1) identifying one or more replacement operations that achieve an equivalent or substantially similar result as a performance of the operation, (2) identifying replacement equipment that operates substantially similarly to the equipment, and/or (3) identifying one or more replacement reagents that, when substituted for the reagent, do not substantially affect the performance of the step. The lab system generates a modified protocol by replacing one or more of the set of steps with the modified steps. The lab system selects a second lab including a second and configures the second robot to perform the modified protocol in the second lab.
