  • Patent number: 6325147
Abstract: Process intended for enhanced recovery of a petroleum fluid by combined injection of an aqueous phase saturated with acid gases. The process esentially consists in continuously injecting, into the oil reservoir, a mixture of an aqueous phase and of a gas at least partially soluble in the aqueous phase and at least partially miscible with the petroleum fluid, by controlling the ratio of the flow rates of the aqueous phase and of the gas so that the latter is always in a state of saturation or oversaturation at the bottom of the injection well(s). The aqueous phase saturated or oversaturated with gas comes into contact with the petroleum fluid present in the reservoir. The gas dissolved in the aqueous phase is at least partially transferred to the liquid hydrocarbon phase, thus causing swelling and viscosity reduction of this phase, which favors migration of the petroleum fluid towards a production zone.

Abstract: The invention is a structure for inhibiting the turbulence phenomena of a fluid, exhibiting a surface geometry comprising at least one series of inhibition surfaces which inhibit turbulence present in a boundary layer of the fluid in proximity to the wall of the structure and which extend substantially longitudinally in the direction of flow of the fluid. The inhibition surfaces comprise at least a first series of surfaces (01) of amplitude a1 and at least a second series of surfaces (02) of amplitude a2. The second series of surfaces (02) is arranged so as to be superposed on the first series of surfaces (01), the first series of surfaces (01) allowing inhibition of at least turbulence of great amplitude and the second series of surfaces (02) allowing inhibition of at least turbulences of low amplitude. The structure has an application for forming at least part of a pipe for conveying a pressurized gas.

  • Patent number: 6105389
Abstract: A method allowing a gaseous mixture such as a natural gas to be liquefied by using a first compressed coolant mixture M.sub.1, at least partially condensed by cooling with the aid of an external coolant fluid, then subcooled, expanded, and vaporized, and a second compressed coolant mixture, cooled with the aid of an external coolant fluid, then cooled by heat exchange with the first coolant mixture M.sub.1 during the first cooling stage (I), after which it is in an at least partially condensed state. • Patent number: 6016667
Abstract: Described is a process for degasolining by refrigeration of a gas containing condensable hydrocarbons, which is effected in the presence of methanol to avoid the formation of hydrates, said process making it possible to at least partially recover the methanol entrained in the gas, by washing same by means of a liquid hydrocarbon fraction. The process described thus makes it possible to avoid having to compensate for the loss of methanol by a continuous make-up, as is the case with conventional processes. It accordingly enjoys enhanced levels of performance and economy.
