  • Publication number: 20220291730
Abstract: A system for consistently implementing reset and power management of IP agents on a System on a Chip (SoC). When IP agents undergo a reset, an individual negotiation takes placed between an interconnect and each IP agent over a link. Each IP agent can emerge from reset at its own time schedule, independently of the timing of the other IP agents. The interconnect may be configured as a proxy for any IP agent that is inoperable, including prior to reset, when in a power-down mode, or malfunctioning.

  • Patent number: 11419091
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) enhances positioning performance using Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) New Radio (NR)-Dual connectivity (EN-DC) based on an indication from the E-UTRAN base station that it is capable of EN-DC, e.g., in the upper layer indication of SIB2. When in idle mode, a UE that supports EN-DC and that has multiple carrier subscriptions may check the availability of EN-DC on both subscriptions that are camped on E-UTRAN base stations and use the subscription with EN-DC when a positioning session is initiated, e.g., from an emergency call. If one subscription is camped on a E-UTRAN base station and the other on an NR base station, the UE may use the E-UTRAN base station if EN-DC is supported or may use the NR base station if EONR and location based services are supported.

  • Patent number: 11405971
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to be connected to multiple wireless networks, including e.g., a 5G New Radio (NR) network and an Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN). The UE may assign one of the networks with a higher priority for connection. The UE monitors wireless signal metrics to determine if the priority assignment of the networks should be inverted. The UE may monitor the expected data throughput, e.g., determined based on the availability of carrier aggregation, the carrier aggregation order, the multiple in multiple out (MIMO) order, the available bandwidth, E-UTRAN NR—Dual connectivity (ENDC) availability, or quality metrics of wireless signals from one or both wireless networks. The UE may further dynamically select a carrier subscription as the Default Data Subscription (DDS) based on the metrics as well as whether a wireless network associated with a carrier subscription supports ENDC.

  • Publication number: 20220225246
Abstract: Transmit output power for an uplink (UL) positioning sounding reference signal (SRS) may be determined by measuring output power of a transmit chain of a user equipment (UE) during an unused RACH occasion. A transmit output power offset is determined based on a difference between the measured output power and a predetermined output power. The transmit output power offset may be used to adjust the power output of the UE.

  • Publication number: 20220201676
Abstract: In techniques disclosed allow a user equipment (UE) that receives location assistance data to determine a preferred bandwidth part (BWP) with which reference signals from one or more base stations can be measured for position determination of the UE. The selection of the preferred BWP can be based on a determination of the frequency and bandwidth of reference signals to be transmitted by the one or more base stations over the course of a positioning station. The preferred BWP may be the BWP, of a plurality of candidate BWPs, that allows for a desired number of reference signal measurements to be taken without retuning a transceiver of the UE.

  • Publication number: 20220201583
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) uses conditional reconfiguration during positioning to improve the positioning performance. The UE receives conditional reconfiguration information from a serving base station, which includes a list one or more candidate target base stations and their associated resources for handover. During a positioning session, the UE receives assistance data and determines a target base station for handover based on the list of candidate target base stations and the assistance data. The UE, for example, may select a candidate target base station for handover during the positioning session to minimize the number of measurements gaps that are required for positioning measurements, or to increase bandwidth or minimize self-interference. Where timing advance measurements are requested, the UE may select a candidate target base station based on sub-carrier spacing to improve measurement resolution.

  • Patent number: 11364007
Abstract: A method of scanning parameter optimization, which method may be useful with image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), allows for controlling exposure of a beam from an x-ray source and/or controlling the detection mechanism for an x-ray detector of imaging radiation of a radiation-delivery device based on one or more parameters of a region of interest of a patient. The one or more parameters of the region of interest may include a dimension, outer contour, density, location relative to an outlet of the beam, location relative to isocenter, location to the whole patient body, etc. Exposure of the patient to the beam may be varied via modulation of one or more scanning parameters for controlling an aspect of the beam and/or the detector to provide for targeted and or reduced radiation exposure of the patient or portion of the patient, and/or for improved quality of guiding images. The modulation may be varied depending on a view angle of the region of interest from a portion of the radiation-delivery device.
