Abstract: A dispenser is disclosed that is particularly suitable for dispensing packaged items such as bandages or membrane filters. The dispenser is provided with a magazine for holding the items, with a distribution assembly for exposure and distribution of the items, an ejector operable in advance/feed and disposal modes, and with a separating assembly for separation of the item from its packaging.

Abstract: An improvement in the fabrication and bonding of dead-end and cross-flow thermoplastic filtration modules is disclosed whereby two housing parts are bonded to each other and to a filtration membrane by an L-shaped plastic melt.

Abstract: An adsorptive separation device is disclosed having at least one spiral wound adsorption membrane situated around the periphery of a core mandrel wherein the flow is radial from a feed plenum situated between the core mandrel and the membrane, through the membrane to a permeate plenum located between the membrane and a housing for both the core mandrel and the spiral wound membrane. An array of such separation devices is also disclosed showing connections in parallel, in series, in both parallel and in series and in tandem.

Abstract: There is disclosed a filtration unit for separating a substance from a fluid, the unit made up of at least one pleated filter element in a cylindrical housing, the housing in turn made up of two mating housing components and at least two fluid connectors, the filter element separating the housing into inlet and outlet plenums with the periphery of the filter element adjoining the wall of the cylindrical housing; the periphery of the filter element and the periphery of the two mating components are all bonded to each other by a single integral sealant bond.
