  • Patent number: 10223084
Abstract: A quantum compiler is provided. The quantum compiler may generate, based on a text-based programmer input, an executable Hamiltonian for a quantum computer such as a quantum annealing computer or an adiabatic quantum computer. The quantum compiler may generate the program Hamiltonian by generating Hamiltonian phrases corresponding to portions of the programmer input and combining the Hamiltonian phrases. Various terms and values in the program Hamiltonian may correspond to physical features of the quantum computer so that the quantum computer can be operated, based on the program Hamiltonian, such that a low energy state of the quantum computer corresponds to the low energy state of the Hamiltonian.

  • Publication number: 20160374901
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention involve a refill apparatus comprising at least one pump, a plurality of reservoirs, a plurality of reservoir fluid channels each associated with one of the reservoirs, a plurality of valves, each having a cracking pressure, for fluidically sealing the reservoir fluid channels and the outlet fluid channel, an outlet fluid channel fluidically connected to the reservoir fluid channels, and a needle having a lumen in fluid communication with the outlet fluid channel. A parameter such as a pressure level is monitored, and one or more pumps and various ones of the valves are actuated in accordance with a protocol comprising a sequence of steps whereby fluidic pathways are opened between different ones of the reservoirs and the needle in a washing and filling sequence, each of the steps being associated with an expected pressure level.

  • Patent number: 9225596
Abstract: Guest domains (virtual machines) may execute at a virtualization server. During execution, the guest domains may request various services to facilitate their operation. The virtualization server may disaggregate the services requested by the guest domains among various service domains. A service domain may be configured to provide one the services. The virtualization server may also maintain a pool of partially initialized service domains. When a guest domain requests a particular service, one of the partially initialized service domains may be selected from the pool, and the partially initialized service domain may complete initialization to become an initialized service domain. The initialized service domain may thus be configured to provide the service requested by a guest domain. The virtualization server may periodically replenish the pool of partially initialized service domains to ensure that a partially initialized service domain is available upon demand from one of the guest domains.

  • Patent number: 9031873
Abstract: In an on-line method of analyzing financial accounting data, uploaded financial accounting data is received at a server (2) from a client computer (3). The data is analyzed at the server (2) to identify anomalies in the data. A display is provided at the client computer (3) representing the anomalies that have been identified. Further, in a method of pre-processing financial accounting data prior to analyzis of the data, the financial accounting data is abstracted to correspond to a pre-stored accounting ontology. Further, in a method of analyzing financial accounting data, the method checks the data for violation of a particular state to identify inconsistent combinations of values in the data.
