  • Patent number: 11880900
Abstract: A computing device provides a task user interface that includes a first task for a driver a first location associated with the first task of a transport service. The device determines that a current location of the computing device is within a threshold distance or a threshold estimated travel time from the first location and provides a task panel including information specific to the first task, one or more selectable sub-task features, and a selectable feature that the driver selects to indicate that the first task has been completed. The device can receive a user input corresponding to a selection of the selectable feature and provide a second task of the transport service a second location associated with the second task.

  • Publication number: 20230375360
Abstract: A network system can receive, from a user device of a requesting user, a query related to a first service. If the network system determines that a first service provider is in progress of providing a second service for the requesting user, the network system can identify, based on a service location of the second service, a plurality of entities that provide items available for selection in association with the first service. The network system can further determine whether to select the first service provider to fulfill the request for the first service based on an estimated first service duration associated with the first service and an estimated duration remaining for the second service. The first service duration can be estimated based on respective timing information associated one or more items selected by the requesting user. The network system can update a route for the first service provider.

  • Publication number: 20230289026
Abstract: A system and method is provided that displays cursors for street level images, where the cursor changes appearance based on the objects in the image, such as the geographic distance between the objects and the camera position and the surface of the objects. For example, the cursor may appear to lie flat against the objects in the image change size based on the distance between the camera and object's surface.

  • Publication number: 20230003542
Abstract: A computer system can estimate preparation times associated with items offered by a plurality of entities to manage a service over a given geographic region. The computer system can receive, from a user device of a user, a request that indicates a user selection of a first set of one or more items to be provided by a first entity and a second set of one or more items to be provided by a second entity. The network system can determine a route of travel for a service provider to navigate in fulfilling the request. The route of navigation can be determined based at least in part on a first set of preparation timing information associated with the first set of one or more items and a second set of preparation timing information associated with the second set of one or more items.

  • Publication number: 20220261730
Abstract: A network computing system to coordinate a completion time of at least a portion of an order request with a target completion time, where the target completion time reflects an estimated time of arrival for a transportation provider with respect to a location of the supplier. The network computing system can coordinate the completion time by determining a timing of when at least a step in the preparation of at least the portion of the order request is performed by the supplier, based on an estimated arrival time of a transport provider. The network computing system can perform one or more control actions to influence the target completion time, based on the determined timing.

  • Patent number: 11416792
Abstract: A network system managing a network service can receive queries and service requests from multiple user devices. The network system can manage the network service such that multiple service requests can be fulfilled by a single service provider. In addition, the network system can dynamically compute parameters associated with the network service. The computation of the parameters can be based on pending service requests or anticipated demand for the network service.

  • Patent number: 11341532
Abstract: This technology relates to requesting missing data associated with a geographic location. The system may comprise a memory for storing lists of information elements each associated with one or more physical types of geographic locations and a processor. The processor may be programmed to receive a current location of a client device and determine the current location is proximate to a first geographic location. The processor may determine a physical location type of the first geographic location and retrieve a list of information elements associated with the physical location type. The list of items may be compared to a set of information elements associated with the first geographic location and a determination of a missing information element may be made. A notification may be generated based on the missing information element and the determination that the client device is proximate to the first geographic location.

  • Patent number: 10929486
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems that relate to an “activity assistant” that provides users with dynamically-selected “activities” that are intelligently tailored to the user's world. The subject technology receives the one or more global parameters of one or more selected activities. The subject technology further receives the one or more account-specific parameters of a selected user account. For the selected user account, and for each of the one or more selected activities, the subject technology: (a) determines one or more signals based at least in part on one or more of the global parameters of the selected activity and one or more of the account-specific parameters of the selected user account, and (b) uses the determined signals as a basis for determining an importance of the selected activity for the selected user.

  • Patent number: 10843708
Abstract: Autonomous vehicles use various computing systems to transport passengers from one location to another. A control computer sends messages to the various systems of the vehicle in order to maneuver the vehicle safely to the destination. The control computer may display information on an electronic display in order to allow the passenger to understand what actions the vehicle may be taking in the immediate future. Various icons and images may be used to provide this information to the passenger.
