  • Patent number: 7345187
Abstract: Unexpected corrosion of downstream sections of a dialkyl carbonate manufacturing apparatus has been traced to alkyl chloroformate impurities, which slowly decompose to yield hydrochloric acid. An improved process and apparatus for dialkyl carbonate synthesis reduce corrosion by physically removing or chemically decomposing the alkyl chloroformate impurities within the corrosion-resistant upstream sections of the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20060160964
Abstract: To meter catalysts into a reactor, the catalyst is firstly suspended in a hydrocarbon in a reservoir and the suspension obtained is kept in motion by stirring and then fed via a three-way metering valve and an ejector into the actual reactor, wherein the suspension containing the catalyst is firstly discharged from the reservoir by means of a pump and continuously circulated by returning the suspension via the three-way metering valve within a closed piping system to the reservoir, subsequently setting a pressure in the reservoir which is from 0.1 to 30 bar higher than the pressure in the reactor and then continuously introducing the suspension into the reactor via a flow meter which controls the three-way metering valve and via a downstream ejector by pulse operation of the now open three-way metering valve.

  • Patent number: 6695750
Abstract: A rehabilitation apparatus to correct walking and running for persons is formed by a base or bench supported by legs for support and positioning. Two motorized rollers on the bench turn by way of a transmission which is activated by a motor. On these rollers is mounted a continuous mat or band on which the person stands. On the sides of the bench are mounted two equal structures, resistant and facing, that form the support for the hands of the person on the apparatus. Each of these structures has a support on which is mounted the ends of two arms that move laterally and turn, face each other, and both ending in an end prolongation to support the foot.

An improved process and apparatus for dialkyl carbonate synthesis reduce corrosion by physically removing or chemically decomposing the alkyl chloroformate impurities within the corrosion-resistant upstream sections of the apparatus. The alkyl chloroformate may be decomposed by passing it through a passageway at a temperature of about 30° C. to about 130° C. for a time of about 0.5 hour to about 10 hours. The passageway may include one or more holding vessels or a tubular section that promotes plug flow.

  • Publication number: 20020082169
Abstract: A Procedure for the adornment, by sublimation, of objects manufactured in a variety of materials, that consists of incorporating the ornamental motive or design on a template made of plastic or paper. The design is provided with conventional paint, and is applied on a receiving element or object, whose reception zone would first be buffed or sanded. The temperature of the object in contact with the transfer template with the design is raised to approximately between 140° C to 300° C for a period between 5 and 60 seconds producing the sublimation. The transfer template may be made or plain or coated paper or plastic and the design may be provided on the transfer template either by means of offset printing with special inks for sublimation or by means of printing with a blotter again using special inks for sublimation, varying the temperature that is applied depending on the surface to be transferred to.

  • Publication number: 20010045027
Abstract: A perfected insole for footwear of the type formed by a flexible laminate body cut in the form of the interior surface of the sole or base of the footwear. The laminate body corresponds to an end zone which has a modified horizontal direction. The upper face of the laminate body has a central raised zone portion of the same width as the insole. That extends laterally in a longitudinal direction on the interior part of the area of the arch of the foot to the heel part, with the central raised zone covering the tarsus and metatarsus area.
