  • Patent number: 10388077
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to three-dimensional (3D) environment authoring and generation. In an example, a 3D environment may be authored using one or more models, wherein two-dimensional (2D) representations of the models may be manipulated using an authoring application. Models may comprise anchor points, which may be used to stitch the models together when rendering the 3D environment. In another example, a model may comprise one or more content points, which may be used to position content within the 3D environment. An environment data file may be generated based on the one or more models and content associated with content points, thereby creating a file that may be distributed to other computing devices. A viewer application may be used to generate the 3D environment based on the environment data file. Accordingly, the viewer application may stitch the models and populate the 3D environment with content.

  • Publication number: 20180326496
Abstract: Embodiments of a methods for producing gas turbine engine rotors and other powdered metal articles having shaped internal cavities are provided. In one embodiment, the method includes consolidating a powdered metal body utilizing a hot isostatic pressing process to produce a rotor preform in which elongated sacrificial tubes are embedded. Acid or another solvent is directed into solvent inlet channels provided in the elongated sacrificial tubes to chemically dissolving the elongated sacrificial tubes and create shaped cavities within the rotor preform. The rotor preform is subject to further processing, such as machining, prior to or after chemical dissolution of the elongated sacrificial tubes to produce the completed gas turbine engine rotor.

  • Publication number: 20180308274
Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling a view of a virtual camera in a virtual world. A view of user viewing a virtual world may be controlled or changed while accounting for a user's head position. For example, a virtual camera may be wrapped in a container such that rotation of the container causes rotation of the virtual camera relative to a global coordinate system. Based on a position of a head-mounted display, an initial virtual camera rotation angle relative to a global coordinate system of the virtual world may be identified. An indication to change to view to particular direction may be received. A desired rotation angle relative to the global coordinate system for a view to correspond to the particular direction is then determined. The container is then rotated by a rotation value based at least on both the desired rotation angle and the initial virtual camera rotation angle.

  • Publication number: 20160146481
Abstract: A system and method for cooling structures by pulling air underground through corrugated pipe is disclosed. The system allows the air to cool down prior to being pulled back into the structure. The system comprises: a trench located outside the structure; an elongated pipe resting in the trench, having a first end and a second end; a first manifold connected to the first end of the elongated pipe, and a second manifold connected to the second end of the elongated pipe; a first airtight duct connecting the first manifold to the structure, and a second airtight duct connecting the second manifold to the structure; a duct fan coupled to the second set of ducting such that the duct fan causes air to flow through the first airtight duct to the first manifold, then to the elongated pipe, then through the second manifold, then through the second airtight duct back into the structure, thereby cooling the structure due to a naturally cooler temperature of the elongated pipe located in the trench.

  • Publication number: 20160000251
Abstract: The present application relates to a shut off system used to regulate the flow of energy to a cooking unit. The system includes an electronic device configured to selectively control the flow of energy to the cooking unit and to transmit and receive data. A flow rate sensor is used to detect the flow of energy to the cooking unit and transmit flow data to the electronic device. A motion sensor is used to detect motion adjacent the cooking unit and transmit motion data to the electronic device. An energy regulator receives command data from the electronic device to selectively interrupt the flow of energy to the cooking unit when no motion has been detected by the motion sensor for a predetermined and preselected time duration.

  • Publication number: 20140097706
Abstract: The XCL Power Producer works by moving molecules to said bodies and continues to move at uniform velocities acted upon vacuum pressures by force, which creates an acceleration of energy production. Produces 45,000 volts @ 300 amps every 4 minutes for a 14 year cycle, continually, as a main power source or back-up system. Clean, renewable, nonradioactive energy with zero emissions and few moving parts, installed at reduced footprints. This innovation of molecular energy has a capacitor, diploid magnetron technology, oscillator and photo cell, producing sign waves typically higher than alternating current technologies today, allowing the power to travel up to 1,891 miles. Due to its conservative use of oil and methane hydrate crystalline, it produces more energy at longer intervals, reducing costs of manufacturing, production, and consumption.
