  • Patent number: 5514343
Abstract: A microtitration system comprises a plurality of well and a frame-like holder with apertures for receiving the wells. Each well has a bottom wall and a side wall extending upwardly therefrom so as to define an upper open end, and a depression or groove is formed in an outer surface of the well side wall at a position spaced from the bottom wall. Each aperture of the holder is at least partly defined by a resilient aperture defining means, which is adapted to enter into locking engagement with the depression or groove of a well received in the aperture. The dimensions and the shape of each aperture are such that when a well is inserted into the aperture, the aperture defining means is engaging with the outer surface of the well side wall and is pressed radially outwardly in relation to a central axis of the well till the aperture defining means may snap into locking engagement with the depression or groove formed in the side wall of the well.

  • Patent number: 5310676
Abstract: A cell cultivating device comprising superposed, separate partition wall members forming mutually spaced partition walls, which define superposed chambers for containing a cell cultivating medium therebetween. The superposed partition wall members each comprising said partition wall and an upstanding peripheral wall extending transversely thereto, are arranged within a closed outer container having a flat bottom wall and a flat end wall. A liquid cultivating medium may be introduced into the outer container through a filling opening while the container is in an upright position in which it is supported by the end wall. The liquid may then substantially uniformly distribute itself within the cultivating chambers via a tunnel extending along the end wall and interconnecting the cultivating chambers.

  • Patent number: 5297757
Abstract: A fishing reel has a frame and a line spool rotatably mounted therein. The frame has a side plate with a circumferential flange formed with a circumferentially directed slot. A buzzer meachnism is mounted in the fishing reel. The buzzer mechanism has a gear wheel non-rotatably connected to the line spool, a trigger mounted on the circumferential flange, and a U-shaped spring leaf, one leg of which is connected to the trigger. The trigger is displaceable along the slot in the circumferential flange between a first position, in which it maintains the other leg of the spring leaf in engagement with the gear wheel so as to produce a buzzing sound when the line spool rotates, and a second position, in which it maintains the other leg of the leaf spring out of engagement with the gear wheel.

  • Patent number: 5158245
Abstract: A fishing reel of the multiplier type has a frame and a shaft extending through the frame and carrying a rotatable line spool. A clutch member is mounted on the shaft to be shifted between a coupling position, in which it engages the line spool for rotating it, and a neutral position, in which it is disengaged from the spool. A mounting plate carried by the frame has a plurality of mounting pins parallel to the shaft. The mounting plate carries on these pins a clutch mechanism having a yoke in which the clutch member is rotatably mounted and which is displaceably mounted on two of the mounting pins for shifting the clutch member between its two positions. A spring presses the yoke in such a direction that the clutch member is urged towards its coupling position. A link arm is pivotally mounted at one end on one of the mounting pins and has at its other end a pivot pin on which a U-shaped member is pivotally mounted. The link arm is pivotable by a trigger.

  • Patent number: 5086991
Abstract: A fishing reel of the multiplier type has a frame with a first and a second side plate. A shaft extends through the frame and its ends are carried in support bearings on the side plates. A line spool is rotatably mounted on the shaft by a first and a second ball bearing and has a first and a second inner shoulder facing the first and the second side plate, respectively, the outer ring of the first and of the second ball bearing engaging the first and the second shoulder, respectively. A handle for rotating the line spool is mounted outside the first side plate. A retaining shoulder engages the inner ring of the first ball bearing to maintain its outer ring in engagement against the first shoulder. The second support bearing consists of a sleeve and a bearing body which is axially displaceable in the sleeve and has a bore in which one end of the line spool shaft is mounted.

  • Patent number: 4937978
Abstract: A metal door construction has two sheet-metal panels 10,11 which form the flat sides of the door. The panels present folded side-edge portions 10a-10g, 11a-11e which extend parallel to and in contact with one another within a joint region 10f; 11e. One panel is provided with a double fold 10c, 10e which forms a pocket for receiving the straight end-edge part 11f of the other panel. The other panel is provided with an outwardly folded profiled part, in the form of a bead or like promontory 11b, on the other side of the joint region. The metal door may be provided with a mullion structure for cooperation with a similar metal door 3 to form a double door construction hung in the same frame. The mullion structure includes a plate 4 which covers a hooked latching bolt used to hold the two doors together and to prevent the door crack from increasing to a non-permitted extent in the event of fire.

  • Patent number: 4919362
Abstract: A fishing reel of the multiplier type has a frame with two side plates. A shaft extends through the frame and is supported by support bearing elements provided on the side plates. A line spool is rotatably mounted on the shaft, and friction brake element is arranged to brake the rotation of the spool. A shifting element is provided at one end of the shaft for axially shifting the shaft in one direction. A driver member is arranged, upon axial shifting of the shaft, to urge the spool towards the friction brake element to increase its braking effect. A resilient member having a through opening in which the shaft is inserted, is arranged both to retain the shaft against rotation and to ensure the return of the shaft after axial shifting thereof. The shaft has a circumferential groove which extends throughout at least a portion of the circumference of the shaft and in which is resilient member engages when the shaft is inserted in the opening of the resilient member.

  • Patent number: 4848240
Abstract: An improved tool for railway track adjustment machines is disclosed which may be made by processes forging, casting, and which includes a shaft and a blade manufactured as separate entities and force-fitted together. In making the tool the lower end of the shaft is formed so that it is able to be forced between flanges located on the rear side of the blade. This lower end preferably has a transverse cross section shaped as a trapezoid with an apex angle .gamma. and is upwardly and outwardly tapered at an angle .alpha.. The flanges located on the rear side of the blade are manufactured from the same piece of material as the blade and define a slot which opens upwardly and outwardly at an angle to the direction of the longitudinal axis of the tool and the symmetrical plane of the blade. A method the slot defined between the flanges has a transverse cross section which tapers inwardly at an angle .delta. and may be formed by deforming the blade.
