  • Patent number: 4751785
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of attaching a wear part to an earth-working tool and a thereto adapted wear part. Characteristic of the invention is that the parts are joined together by means of a press fit which in turn is blocked by means of pretensioned resilient locking means which when fitted in place continually act upon the parts in the direction of interconnection. The invention provides a play-free and reliable interconnection for the tool and wear part, which is also very easy to remove.

  • Patent number: 4715911
Abstract: A method for the production of a plastic container which includes an essentially planar base part and a detachable top part comprises placing a top part having a thin flange extending from an end face at an open end thereof on an essentially planar base part, vibrating the top part relative to the base part to melt the thin flange, and discontinuing the vibration before the thin flange has become completely molten. The resulting plastic container is both air- and liquid-proof, yet the top part is easily detachable from the base part.

  • Patent number: 4546085
Abstract: A cell cultivation container with screw cover, where the zone of the mouth portion of the container adjacent the edge of the mouth has a greater diameter than the more remote zone and is constructed with at least two inwardly protruding, axially extending projections, and where the screw cover has an inner skirt with an outer annular bead which in the fully closed position of the cover is in sealing engagement with the inner wall of the narrow zone of the mouth portion of the container, while in partly unscrewed position of the cover the bead is only in contact with the inwardly protruding, axially extending projections. Hereby the cross-sectional area of the communication passages between the interior of the container and the surroundings formed by partial unscrewing of the cover will remain constant, even if the angle of turning of the screw cover varies within wide limits.

  • Patent number: 4501108
Abstract: A method of sealing a cryogenic tube comprising the steps of inserting the tube into a tubular body made from a heat-shrinkable material and having a length greater than that of the receptacle, heating the tubular body to a temperature sufficiently high to effect shrinkage of the tubular body and compressing the ends of the tubular body to cause the opposite tube walls to melt together to form an envelope completely surrounding the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4414764
Abstract: This invention relates to a wear-parts system of teeth for earth-moving machine shovels, mounted at the front of the shovel and comprising several loosely interconnected parts such as tooth points (1), adapters or holders (2, 9), cutting edge protectors (11) etc. The interconnection of these parts is carried out by means of interacting male and female formed parts (15, 16, 19, 20 and 13, 14, 21, 22). The parts are locked in the assembled position by means of specially formed locking wedges (7) fitted at right angles to the assembly direction. Openings are provided in the various parts for the locking devices.

  • Patent number: 4213257
Abstract: An improved securing member is disclosed for fastening wear parts to a support, in which a resilient body is fastened between two deformable edge members. In use, the securing member is placed between the wearing part and its support, after which one or another of the edge members is deformed in such a manner as to prevent removal of the wear part.

  • Patent number: 4205469
Abstract: A cutter tooth for earth moving machines is attached to an adapter secured to the tool of the machine. A fitting block between the adapter and the tool prevents transverse movement of the adapter and facilitates installation of the tooth at various angles. A resilient securing member secures the tooth to the adapter.

  • Patent number: 4099676
Abstract: Apparatus for spreading fertilizer, plant killer, or similar agents from an aircraft which includes a container in which the agents are disposed, which container contains at its lower end rotating dispersion means for spreading agents to the surrounding area. The container further includes stabilizing means secured thereto for keeping the container in a predetermined attitude relative to the aircraft while maintaining the central axis of the container in substantially vertical position. The position of the container will be maintained independent of the amount of agent in the container and the flying speed of the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 4099689
Abstract: Method of spreading fertilizer, plant killer, or similar agents from an aircraft which includes the provision of a mobile station that receives a plurality of containers from which the agents are to be dispersed. The containers are filled at the station and moved on carrying means at the station to where they are to be subsequently lifted by the aircraft and the agents dispersed therefrom. The emptied container is returned to the station behind the filled container by the aircraft, disconnected therefrom, and the aircraft thereafter picks up a filled container.

  • Patent number: 4095264
Abstract: A capacitor bank for use in high voltage electric plants such as series or shunt capacitors or in filter circuits for high voltage direct current plants. The capacitor bank comprises a number of capacitor units in a closed tank containing a gas for electric insulation and for regulating the temperature in the tank. Each of the capacitor units comprise a closed casing provided with bushings for current inlet and outlet, a number of capacitor elements connected together inside the casing and the casing is filled with an insulating fluid. The capacitor units are mounted in a rack of insulating material constituting the sole support for the capacitor units as well as electrically insulating the capacitor units from one another. The rack includes guide members for at least part of the gas circulating in the tank to achieve substantially the same temperature in the individual capacitor units.

  • Patent number: 4063862
Abstract: A forming apparatus comprising mold parts adapted to fit inside a tube to shape a groove or other profile therein. The parts are segments of the periphery arranged in at least two groups, such that the parts of one group alternate with the parts of the other group. The first group of parts is undercut to provide pockets in which the second group may rest when the mold parts are retracted. The first group is extended first, leaving spaces therebetween which are filled by the second group when they are extended. A mechanical actuation of the parts is disclosed in one embodiment and fluid-actuation is disclosed in a second embodiment.
