Publication number: 20180330730Abstract: Speech recognition is performed on a received utterance to determine a plurality of candidate text representations of the utterance, including a primary text representation and one or more alternative text representations. Natural language processing is performed on the primary text representation to determine a plurality of candidate actionable intents, including a primary actionable intent and one or more alternative actionable intents. A result is determined based on the primary actionable intent. The result is provided to the user. A recognition correction trigger is detected. In response to detecting the recognition correction trigger, a set of alternative intent affordances and a set of alternative text affordances are concurrently displayed.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2017Publication date: November 15, 2018Inventors: Ashish GARG, Harry J. Publication number: 20180083825Abstract: The disclosed embodiments illustrate methods and systems for generating recommendations for client process execution of one or more client processes corresponding to a plurality of clients of an organization. The method comprises retrieving an event log including event data captured during execution of one or more processes in the organization to service a plurality of clients of a predefined type. The event log is analyzed across the plurality of clients to determine cross-clientele information including a process compliance deviation between an observed and an expected client process execution of the one or more processes. Thereafter, a set of root-causes of the process compliance deviation is determined based on process models of the one or more processes and/or decision rules of the organization. Further, one or more recommendations for the client process execution of the one or more processes of the organization are generated, based on the set of root-causes.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2016Publication date: March 22, 2018Inventors: Jagadeesh Chandra Bose Rantham Prabhakara, Avantika Gupta, Deepthi Chander, Ajith Ramanath, Koustuv Dasgupta, Ashish Garg

Publication number: 20180046967Abstract: Embodiments of a system and a method for evaluating fairness of an incentive scheme are disclosed. The method includes generating desired ranks for a set of employees based on multiple Key Performance Indicator (KPI) vectors associated with the set, where the generated desired ranks are refined based on a most promising vector in the plurality of KPI vectors; computing a distance between a pair of ranks including a pre-set rank based on a predefined incentive scheme and a desired rank from the generated desired ranks for each employee; comparing the computed distance for each employee in the set with a predefined value; evaluating the pre-set rank to be fair and indicative of the predefined incentive scheme being fair to a corresponding employee if the computed distance is relatively less than the predefined value based on the comparison; and displaying a visualization of the computed distance.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 10, 2016Publication date: February 15, 2018Inventors: Rahul Ghosh, Soumi Chattopadhyay, Ansuman Banerjee, Koustuv Dasgupta, Ashish Garg, Vivek Setia

Publication number: 20170372248Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose methods and systems for generating operational alarms for a plurality of clients, the operational alarms being generated by a business performance system, each client being associated with a plurality of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). An aggregate rank for each client based on ranks of each KPI is generated. For each client: the aggregate rank of the client over one or more time periods is monitored. If the aggregate rank deteriorates over the one or more time periods, a severity indicator is determined based on change of value of each KPI and change of rank of each KPI for the client over the one or more time periods. An operational alarm based on value of the severity indicator is determined. The operational alarm is displayed on a user interface, wherein the operational alarm displays one or more KPIs with highest severity values.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2016Publication date: December 28, 2017Inventors: Rahul Ghosh, Avantika Gupta, Soumi Chattopadhyay, Ansuman Banerjee, Koustuv Dasgupta, Ashish Garg

Publication number: 20170233597Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of fabricating P(VDF-TrFE) films by modifying the solvent composition. Two solvents MEK and DMSO were mixed in pre-determined ratios and that co-solvent mixture was used for fabricating the P(VDF-TrFE) films. By virtue of such method driven P(VDF-TrFE) films, the ferroelectric capacitors comprising of the same were found to achieve low voltage operation, thermal stability and fatigue endurance, which indicated improved ferroelectric performance of the devices. In addition, the films made by same process also yielded high piezo- and pyro-electric coefficient, indicating improved piezo- and pyro-electric performances of the devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2016Publication date: August 17, 2017Inventors: Deepa SINGH, Deepak GUPTA, Ashish GARG

Publication number: 20170221253Abstract: Methods and systems for creating animation elements from digital drawings. In particular, one or more embodiments detect a digital drawing input stream including a plurality of strokes. One or more embodiments identify a plurality of stroke points for each stroke from the plurality of strokes, and determine a plurality of timestamps for the plurality of stroke points. One or more embodiments generate an animation element based on the plurality of stroke points and the plurality of timestamps. One or more embodiments also receive a selection to insert the animation element into a user interface, and insert the animation element with associated drawing time information and stroke point information into the user interface in response to the received selection.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 3, 2016Publication date: August 3, 2017Inventors: Sriraj Banerjee, Karnati Penchala Charith Chowdary, Ashish Garg

Publication number: 20170083224Abstract: An expandable drawing surface is described. In various embodiments, a drawing surface manager is configured to cause a size of a drawing surface to expand dynamically to provide a user with a truly infinite drawing surface such that the user is not limited for space in any direction. To do so, the drawing surface manager creates and displays new pages for the drawing surface as the user scrolls in any direction. The new pages are displayed proximate existing pages such that the user is presented with a continuous drawing surface on which the user can work seamlessly. In one or more embodiments, a memory manager is configured to provide efficient memory techniques such that, at any point of time, only data associated with visible pages of the drawing surface is loaded onto a memory.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2015Publication date: March 23, 2017Inventors: Sriraj Banerjee, Karnati Penchala Charith Chowdary, Ashish Garg

Publication number: 20160306798Abstract: Architecture that recommends (suggests) personalized and relevant documents from internal networks and/or public networks (search engines) to help the user complete/update a document currently being worked. The architecture extracts the query and uses the context to perform the search, and performs the search from within the editing application, using the entire text of the document to improve relevance. User context and textual/session context are employed to search for relevant documents. Relevant documents are proactively recommended when the user is authoring the document within an authoring application. The search operation is performed reactively using authoring context (e.g., user, textual, session, etc.) in authoring applications. Results are recommended from both internal documents (e.g., local storage, corporate network, etc.) and public documents (e.g., using a public search engine).Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2015Publication date: October 20, 2016Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Chenlei Guo, Yeyi Wang, Jianfeng Gao, Ashish Garg, Karen Stabile, Divya Jetley

Publication number: 20140047173Abstract: A device stores a plurality of applications and a list of associations for those applications. The applications are preferably stored within a secondary memory of the device, and once launched each application is loaded into RAM. Each application is preferably associated to one or more of the other applications. Preferably, no applications are launched when the device is powered on. A user selects an application, which is then launched by the device, thereby loading the application from the secondary memory to RAM. Whenever an application is determined to be associated with a currently active state application, and that associated application has yet to be loaded from secondary memory to RAM, the associated application is pre-launched such that the associated application is loaded into RAM, but is set to an inactive state.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2013Publication date: February 13, 2014Applicants: Sony Electronics Inc., SONY CORPORATIONInventors: Phuong Viet Nguyen, Ashish Garg
