Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for adding conversation context from detected audio to contact records. An audio stream is received through a microphone of a personal computing device. Context analysis is performed of the audio stream to detect conversation context in the audio stream. A request is received to associate the conversation context with a selected contact person. A determination is made of conversation context detected from a segment of the audio stream received during a period of time from when the request was received. The conversation context determined for the period of time is included in a contact record for the selected contact person. The contact record is stored in a contact database including a plurality of contact records for a plurality of contact persons, wherein the contact records include conversation context and location information associated with the contact persons.

Abstract: In determining a representative still image of a video, a first set of parameters for each frame in a video is derived, and a second set of parameters for a specific user is derived. A frame with first set of parameters that best matches the second set of parameters is identified and selected as the representative still image of the video for the specific user. Different parameters may be derived for different specific users, and different frames are identified as best matches for different specific users. Different parameters may be derived for the specific user at different times, and different frames are identified as best matching at the different times. Different values for the parameters for the same specific user may be calculated at different times, and different frames may be identified as best matching the parameters at the different time.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method generates a graphical user interface (GUI). A graphical user interface (GUI) development server receives a candidate GUI element. The candidate GUI element is in use by one or more current GUIs, and the candidate GUI element performs a computer-based function. The GUI development server receives a rating of the candidate GUI element from users of the one or more current GUIs, and determines whether the rating of the candidate GUI element exceeds a predefined value. In response to determining that the rating of the candidate GUI element exceeds the predefined value, the GUI development server identifies the candidate GUI element as a preferred GUI element to perform the computer-based function in future GUIs, and utilizes that preferred GUI element to generate a new GUI that needs the computer-based function.

Abstract: Predicting and notifying availability status of a user may include determining, using a processor, an availability status of a user according to historical data for the user and automatically updating the availability status of the user using the processor.

Abstract: An indication is received, from a content viewing device used by a remote viewer, that specifies a video content sub-area of interest within streamed video content viewed by the remote viewer. Original video content outside of the video content sub-area of interest is designated as a region not of interest (RNOI) within the streamed video content. A transmission rate of image changes of the original video content within the RNOI is reduced within the streamed video content. Image disparity between the video content sub-area of interest and the RNOI is reduced by continuing to transmit the image changes of the original video content within the RNOI at the reduced transmission rate. Bandwidth consumed to transmit the streamed video content is reduced in relation to the reduced transmission rate of the image changes of the original video content within the RNOI.

A method includes: transmitting, by a computer device, a tone to a surface of an object; detecting, by the computer device, a frequency response from the object based on the transmitted tone; determining, by the computer device, that the detected frequency response from the surface of the object conforms to a stored frequency response; and unlocking, by the computer device, the computer device based on the determining.

Abstract: Identifying changes to copied source to facilitate sharing of the changes, in one aspect, includes comparing elements of a document to other documents in a repository to classify an element of the document as being derived from a source document element of a source document in the repository. A user interface presents indications of all elements of the document classified as being a derived. The user interface also presents an indication of the source document from which the element of the document is derived. A connected graph representing a relationship between the document and the source document is generated and stored. Responsive to determining an update to the source document element, an action is performed to facilitate updating the element of the document based on the update to the source document element.

Abstract: A first user muting a conversation, taking place among a plurality of users using an exchange of electronic messages, can be detected. Responsive to the first user muting the conversation, an electronic message inbox of the first user can be configured to prevent further electronic messages pertaining to the conversation from being visible in the electronic message inbox. At least one additional electronic message pertaining to the conversation can be received. Responsive to receiving the additional electronic message, the additional electronic message can be analyzed and, based on the analysis, whether the conversation should be unmuted for the first user can be automatically determined. Responsive to determining that the conversation should be unmuted for the first user, the electronic message inbox of the first user can be configured to make visible at least one electronic message pertaining to the conversation that is received earlier than the additional electronic message.

Abstract: For preventing unwanted information disclosure in a current electronic communication from a sender to a receiver of the current electronic communication, a risk score is assigned for the current electronic communication by a computer system applying an access control model based on historical electronic communications. The model generates the risk score responsive to identities of the sender and receiver and responsive to access control level and hierarchal position of at least one of the sender and receiver. The computer system blocks transmission of the current electronic communication from the sender to the receiver responsive to whether the risk score for the sender and receiver exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A method and system for performing a root cause analysis. A CPU identifies events of interest as a function of a user's observable behavior, which includes the user's eye gaze, while viewing event data. The CPU calculates an interest score for each of the identified events of interest, wherein the interest score is a probability of each of the identified events of interest being a root cause of a defect. The CPU tags each of the events of interest with a tag as a function of each calculated interest score. The identifying of the one or more events of interest includes: correlating a focal point of the user's eye gaze to a viewing position of a display device displaying the file; and identifying, as a function of the viewing position, the event data being viewed and an amount of time that the event data is viewed by the user.

Abstract: A method for conversation branching may include storing a plurality of messages communicated in an online conversation and generating a fingerprint for each message. The fingerprint for each message may be stored in a lookup table. The method may also include detecting a new message from one of the users and processing the new message to generate an artifact that correlates to the new message. The lookup table may be queried using the artifact to determine a similarity between the new message and each of the stored messages. One or more proposed reply messages to the new message may be generated for branching the online conversation to a new conversation point that corresponds to a selected one of the one or more proposed reply messages. The one or more proposed reply messages are based on one of the stored messages that has a closest similarity to the new message.

Responsive to detecting the real-time communication request that specifies the particular type of communication functionality, a highest-priority application usable to perform the specified particular type of communication functionality with a communication device of the requested communication recipient is selected from the configured preferred communication application hierarchy of the requesting user.

Abstract: Systems, methods and tools for performing a root cause analysis and improvements to the root cause detection by changing the way analysts and troubleshooters interact with the error reporting files to detect injection points that indicate the root cause of a system error. The systems, methods and tools record the observable behavior of users as the users review files to identify behavioral clues of the user to infer a level of interest in sections of the files being viewed. The systems identify correlations between user behavior and emotive expression to calculate a probability of event data being the root cause of an error. The systems may manually or automatically generate one or more tags in the reviewed file for each of the sections of the file that has a probability of being a root cause of a defect and the tags may vary as a function of the probability.

The at least one action includes adjusting execution of the application to enable correction of the posture.

Natural language processing techniques parse task-oriented messages for individual tasks, such as assignments, information requests, and requests for approval or authorization. A user interface provides a recipient of a task-oriented message with selectable tasks for individual, or group, disposition, such as respond, defer, delegate, mark answered, and ignore. Recipients are notified if an incomplete response is generated, such as when an identified task is not dispositioned.
