  • Patent number: 8846583
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a biodegradable lubricant composition, notably intended to be incorporated as an oil phase with high lubricating power in a drilling fluid or mud. This composition may be in a drilling fluid or as a fluid for fracture of underground formations. • Publication number: 20140103704
Abstract: An endless track for traction of an off-road vehicle, such as an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) or a snowmobile. The endless track comprises an inner side for facing track-contacting wheels around which it is mountable and a ground-engaging outer side for engaging the ground. The ground-engaging outer side comprises a plurality of traction projections distributed along a longitudinal direction of the endless track. The traction projections may be designed to control rigidity characteristics, such as a longitudinal rigidity and a widthwise rigidity, of the endless track, while maintaining a weight of the endless track relatively low.

  • Publication number: 20130284337
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a carcass and a belt reinforcement structure. The carcass has one ply of parallel cords extending proximately to bead portions. The belt reinforcement structure is disposed radially outside of the carcass. The belt reinforcement structure includes an overlay ply. The overlay ply includes a strip of parallel cords wound spirally and circumferentially from a first axially outer side of the overlay ply to a second axially outer side of the overlay ply. The distance between corresponding parts of adjacent strip windings defines a winding pitch. The winding pitch of the strip changes in an axially inward direction of the pneumatic tire towards the equatorial plane of the pneumatic tire such that the winding pitch in a central region of the belt reinforcement structure is increased relative to respective first and second axially outer sides of the overlay ply on each side of the equatorial plane of the pneumatic tire.

  • Patent number: 8500410
Abstract: A blade made of composite material including an airfoil formed of filaments or fibers, optionally woven, impregnated with a heat-curable resin, with an intrados wall and an extrados wall between the leading edge and the trailing edge; and a device for damping the vibrations incorporated in one or other of the intrados and extrados walls is disclosed. The damping device is formed of at least one layer made of viscoelastic material and a layer made of rigid material, these layers being superposed. The layer made of rigid material includes a first zone and a second zone. The layer made of viscoelastic material is interposed between the airfoil and the first zone of the rigid layer, and the second zone of the rigid layer is attached to the wall of the airfoil without interposition of viscoelastic material.

  • Publication number: 20120291936
Abstract: A tire carcass has one or more radially inner ply components extending around an annular bead member to a ply turnup portion, the ply turnup portion extending radially outward from the bead member to a ply turnup end. A carcass barrier layer component is positioned axially inward from and adjacent to the ply component and an electronic tag device is embedded within the tire carcass between the barrier layer component and the ply component in a lower sidewall region of the tire carcass. The electronic tag is positioned at a radial tag distance from a lower sidewall toe location greater than 10 percent of the tire section height distance from the lower sidewall toe location. A radial tag distance is preferred within 15 percent and less than 35 percent of the tire section height as measured with reference to the lower sidewall toe location. The tag is transmission-operative when embedded within the tire carcass between the barrier layer component and the ply component during green tire construction.

  • Patent number: 8313790
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for extracting carbonylated compounds from a drink by liquid-solid extraction with a functionalized inert support containing nitrogenous nucleophilic functional groups. Advantageously, according to the present invention, the drink is wine or fruit juice. The process according to the present invention is advantageously applied to the reduction of the sulphur dioxide combination capacity of a drink such as wine.

  • Publication number: 20120104840
Abstract: A track assembly for traction of an off-road vehicle, such as an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) or a snowmobile, is disclosed. The track assembly comprises a plurality of track-contacting wheels, which comprises: a drive wheel; and a plurality of idler wheels spaced apart in a longitudinal direction of the track assembly. The track assembly also comprises an endless track disposed around the track-contacting wheels. A frame of the track assembly may comprise a hollow frame structure. The hollow frame structure may be dimensioned to impede accumulation of snow, mud, rocks, debris, etc. in the track assembly. The track assembly may comprise interwheel guides between longitudinally adjacent ones of the idler wheels to contact a bottom run of the endless track, and/or fenders adjacent to given ones of the idler wheels. The frame's hollowness, the interwheel guides, and/or the fenders may be realized during molding of a portion of the frame using a blow molding or other fluid-based molding process.
