  • Publication number: 20020061409
Abstract: In a composite of vulcanizable rubber or rubber-like composition with one or more metal reinforcement elements embedded therein, the metal reinforcement element is coated with a polymer or non-cured rubber composition compatible with and co-polymerizable, co-vulcanizable or crosslinkable with said vulcanizable ruber composition to be reinforced, and additionally bearing functional groups either covalently bonding to the metal surface of said reinforcement element or forming covalent bonds with the outward directed first functional groups of a mono- or multimolecular layer of a bifunctional adhesion promoter intercalated between said metal and said coating and bound to said metal by its second functional groups. A cured rubber or rubber-like product, for instance a pneumatic tire, is obtained by vulcanization of such a composite.

  • Patent number: 5712034
Abstract: A rubber article has a body consisting of rubber and a reinforcement structure with cables embedded in the rubber body. The cables have at least one inner layer with at least one first filament wherein at least one first filament consists of a metallic alloy. The outermost layer has second filaments embedded adhesively in the rubber body. All of the first and second filaments that consist of a metallic alloy are coated with a corrosion-protective coating. The corrosion-protective coating for at least one of the first filaments consists of an intrinsically conductive polymer.

  • Patent number: 5544544
Abstract: A throttle trigger device for an internal combustion engine of a working tool has a throttle trigger connected to the handle of the working tool so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis. A throttle trigger lock is connected to the handle of the working tool so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis. A spring is connected between the throttle trigger and the throttle trigger lock. The throttle trigger, the throttle trigger lock, and the spring form a unitary part. The spring rests at an abutment of the handle at least when under load such that the spring is divided into functionally independent sections, whereby a first section extends between the abutment and the throttle trigger and a second section extends between the abutment and the throttle trigger lock.

  • Patent number: 5237489
Abstract: A headlight for motor vehicles has a reflector, a gas discharge lamp inserted in the reflector, an electrical pre-switching device arranged to supply the gas discharge lamp with high voltage, a lamp support via which the gas discharge lamp is inserted in the reflector, a detachable protective cap which covers the lamp support and the gas discharge lamp at their rear, an electrical line connected with the pre-switching device, and a switch arranged in the line and openable when the protective cap is removed so that the operation of the gas discharge lamp is prevented when the switch is opened.

  • Patent number: 4744177
Abstract: A vibratory abrader having a grinding plate which is supported at the housing by way of elastic elements, with the abrading plate being put into an orbital movement by way of a ball bearing attached to an eccentric drive member which is equipped with a compensating weight and can be caused to rotate by the armature shaft of the drive motor. To be able to make such a vibratory grinder usable for rough as well as fine abrader work by simply changing the eccentric stroke of the abrading plate, the eccentric drive member is driven by means of an eccentric pin which is likewise mounted eccentrically with respect to the axis of the armature shaft and the armature shaft is pivotal relative to the eccentric drive member and its compensating weight, with the angle of rotation between the armature shaft and the eccentric drive member in both directions being limited to 180.degree.
