  • Publication number: 20190124844
Abstract: In a draper harvesting head having a frame, a left side conveyor supported on the frame, a right side conveyor supported on the frame, a central conveyor supported on the frame and disposed between the left side conveyor and the right side conveyor, and a reciprocating knife fixed to the front of the frame and extending laterally across the frame, a method of controlling slippage between an endless conveyor belt of one of the left side conveyor and the right side conveyor and a crop mat carried on the endless conveyor belt is provided, including determining a speed of the endless conveyor belt and a speed of the crop mat; comparing a difference in the speed of the endless conveyor belt and the speed of the crop mat with a first threshold speed difference; and changing the speed of the endless conveyor belt based upon the step of comparing.

  • Publication number: 20190110397
Abstract: An agricultural harvesting header includes a first frame portion and a second frame portion moveably connected to the first frame portion. An upper control arm is pivotally connected to the first frame portion and pivotally connected to the second frame portion. A lower control arm pivotally connected to the first frame portion and pivotally connected to the second frame portion. The connection between the first frame portion, second frame portion, upper control arm, and a lower control arm forms a roll center positioned at or below ground level.

  • Publication number: 20190110403
Abstract: A header for a combine harvester includes a center section having a first draper belt configured to move crop material in a first direction. The header also includes a wing pivotably coupled to the center section about a pivot axis and extending laterally away from the center section. The header also includes a second draper belt coupled to the wing and configured to move crop material in a second direction different than the first direction. The wing and the second draper belt are in a fixed positional relationship with each other, such that the wing is configured to remain at a constant distance from the second draper belt at all points along the wing during pivoting movement of the wing.

  • Publication number: 20190098831
Abstract: An agricultural harvesting head includes a laterally extending frame with several spaced apart float arms pivotally coupled to the frame at their rear ends, and a reciprocating knife fixed to the forward ends of the float arms, wherein the float arms are constrained to pivot with respect to the frame about pivot points that are lower than the reciprocating knife.

  • Publication number: 20190029181
Abstract: A draper platform for mounting on a feeder house of an agricultural combine may include a frame, a center belt conveyor to carry cut crop material rearwardly towards a center opening in the frame through which crop may be fed into a feeder house, a left side belt conveyor to carry cut crop material to the center belt conveyor, a right side belt conveyor to carry cut crop material to the center belt conveyor, at least one elongate reciprocating knife assembly extending along a front edge of each of the center belt conveyor, the left side belt conveyor and the right side belt conveyor, a conveyor drum above the center belt conveyor and a central roller baffle. The central roller baffle may include a rotatable support rotatably supported above the conveyor drum and a crop driver removably mounted to the rotatable support.

  • Publication number: 20190029176
Abstract: A float arm support system may include a float arm supporting an active member, the float arm being pivotable about a first axis, a skid shoe to bear against and follow local ground contours of the underlying terrain while supporting the active member of the float arm above the underlying terrain and a powered actuator. The skid shoe may be coupled to the float arm between the first axis and the active member. The powered actuator may be operably coupled to the skid shoe to vertically move the skid shoe to adjust a spacing at which the skid shoe supports the active member of the float arm relative to the underlying terrain.

  • Patent number: 9078396
Abstract: A draper platform (100) for mounting on a feederhouse of an agricultural combine comprises an elongate reciprocating knife assembly (140) at a forward edge of the draper platform (100). A left side endless belt conveyor (116) is disposed behind the reciprocating knife assembly on the left side of the draper platform (100) and a right side endless belt conveyor (120) is disposed behind the elongate reciprocating knife assembly (140) on the right side of the draper platform (100). A center endless belt conveyor (118) carries the cut crop material rearward towards a central rear aperture (138) in the frame (101). A conveyor drum (136) is mounted above and in front of the central rear aperture (138). Conveyor members (150, 152, 164, 165) are located at crop transition zones (154, 156) between the left side endless belt conveyor (116), and the conveyor drum (136), and between the right side endless belt conveyor (120) and the conveyor drum (136).
