  • Publication number: 20220282608
Abstract: A downhole tool for preventing pump blockage includes an outer conduit defining an outer flow path, an inner conduit located within the outer conduit defining an inner flow path and a space between the inner conduit and the outer conduit. The inner conduit includes one or more angled passageways to allow one-way debris flow. A pressure regulated valve is coupled to the upper end of the outer conduit and configured to open to expand an adjustable width angled passageway defined by the pressure regulated valve. An upper end of the inner conduit is configured to allow fluid bypass of the angled passageways of the inner conduit when the angled passageways are blocked with debris.

  • Publication number: 20220145737
Abstract: A thru-tubing conveyed (TTC) pump system comprising a rig-deployed assembly and a TTC removable assembly. The rig-deployed assembly includes a motor and a receiving base. The motor is configured to turn a first shaft, and an end of the first shaft includes a non-circular cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the first shaft. The TTC removable assembly includes an engaging base and a pump, the pump configured to be turned by a second shaft. An end of the second shaft has a non-circular cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the second shaft. • Publication number: 20220003090
Abstract: An electric submersible pump (ESP) assembly. The ESP assembly comprises a pump intake defining a plurality of intake ports disposed circumferentially around the pump intake, a first plurality of centralizer wings disposed radially about the pump intake on a downhole side of the intake ports, a second plurality of centralizer wings disposed radially about the pump intake on an uphole side of the intake ports, and a self-orienting sleeve disposed around the intake ports, captured by the first and second plurality of centralizer wings, and free to hang down on upward facing intake ports when the ESP assembly is disposed in a horizontal or offset position.

  • Patent number: 11174872
Abstract: An electric pump may include a stack of diffusers including a first diffuser and a second diffuser. The first diffuser includes a recess therein defining an inner recess surface substantially circumscribing a primary diffuser axis. The second diffuser includes a lip projecting into the recess of the first diffuser. In response to a differential torque applied to the first and second diffusers about the primary diffuser axis, the lip of the second diffuser may engage the inner recess surface of the first diffuser, and thereby prevent relative rotation of the diffusers with respect to one another. An outer perimeter surface of the lip and the inner recess surface may define polygonal shapes or other non-circular profiles.

  • Patent number: 10212861
Abstract: A variable frequency drive (VFD) cabinet ventilation system, apparatus and method is described. A VFD cabinet includes an internal air circulating closed circuit that extends through an inside of an air-to-air heat exchanger and an external air open circuit extending around an outside of the heat exchanger. The circulating internal air closed circuit extends through a chamber closed to ingress of external air, the chamber including electrical components of a VFD system. The external air open circuit makes a turn from downwards to upwards before flowing through a VFD chassis including a drive of the VFD system. A VFD cabinet ventilation method includes turning a flow of cabinet ventilation air from downwards to upwards to separate dirt from the ventilation air, passing the separated ventilation air through a VFD chassis, and circulating internal cabinet air through a closed circuit including an inside of a heat exchanger.
