    Abstract: A probe sensing pad used to detect a position of a probe needle includes a probe area, at least two sensing regions contacting peripheral portions of the probe area, sensing elements of different electrical characteristics connected to corresponding sensing regions, and at least one isolation region for electrically insulting the sensing regions. The position of the probe needle relative to the probe sensing pad may be rapidly detected and automatically corrected toward a desired contact site of the probe sensing pad depending upon the voltage measured by a probe needle contacting the probe sensing pad. That is, the measured voltage will have a first value if deflected in a first direction, a second value (different from the first) if deflected in a second direction, and so on. The position of the probe needle can be corrected based on this measurement.

    Abstract: An isolator is disclosed, in which a ferromagnetic sheet is placed into a shielding resin case together with garnet ferrite and an internal terminal sheet (with strip lines extending therefrom). Thus the leakage magnetic flux shielding effect is reinforced, and the bulk of the isolator is made compact. The constitution is as follows. That is, the internal terminal sheet (with the strip lines extending therefrom), a garnet ferrite, a plurality of insulating films and a ferromagnetic sheet are inserted into a shielding resin case in the cited order. Further, this structure is inserted into between upper and lower cases, and three dielectric devices and a chip resistor are disposed on a PCB and around the lower case, while a connecting terminal part with input/output terminals connected to the PCB electrodes is formed on the PCB.

    Abstract: A lithium secondary battery encased in a pouch and having a simplified and cheap safety device. In the lithium secondary battery, an aluminum terminal is bent and extends to the rear surface of the pouch, and around the front and bottom surfaces. The terminal is positioned at the original location of the aluminum terminal as a positive electrode. The extended terminal has a narrower region in the central portion and is fixed to the pouch using a tape. The narrower portion ruptures if the pouch swells due to increasing internal pressure.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a bead filter for eliminating electromagnetic interference noises generated in electronic apparatuses are disclosed. The present invention improves an adhesive manufacturing process, an adhesive applying process and an adhesive drying process, so that the radial bead filters of the present invention having superior electromagnetic characteristics would be minimally affected by the adhesive, and superior bonding strengths of the radial bead filters can be maintained. The method for manufacturing the bead filter composed of a lead wire and a pair of ferrite cores for eliminating electromagnetic interferences in electronic apparatuses, includes the step of mixing 10-40 wt % of an epoxy powder and 60-90 wt % of benzyl alcohol so as to prepare an epoxy resin gel. With this epoxy resin gel, the bead filters are continuously manufactured with a simple process.

    Abstract: A plasma processing apparatus such as a plasma etching apparatus, which is not subject to arcing to the gas distributor plate which is caused by secondary potentials generated by polymers adhering to a gas distribution plate. The gas distribution plate is electrically isolated from the ground electric potential, and does not have any polarity. The gas distribution plate may be formed of an insulating material. Furthermore, a support plate may be adapted to fix the gas distribution plate to a chamber of the apparatus in such a manner that the gas distribution plate is detachably coupled with the support plate. Thereby, it is easier to separate the gas distribution plate from the apparatus to remove the accumulated polymers during the plasma process.

A B.sub.2 O.sub.3 --Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 --ZnO glass is added in an amount of 0.05-15.0 wt % to the ordinary Ni--Cu--Zn soft raw material, and this mixture is sintered at a temperature of 860.degree.-910.degree. C.

The technical construction of the present invention is made such that three capacitor elements are mounted side by side to the capacitor mounting portion formed at top surface of the ferrite core, lead wires are inserted through the lead wire passing through openings among three capacitor elements mounted to the ferrite core, the ground terminal portion is formed by printing to both side surfaces of the ferrite core, and said capacitor, lead wires and ground terminal portion are connected by soldering and then the surface is coated; therefore, there are effects that a surface mounting is easy and a noise eliminating characteristic is excellent.

    Abstract: An apparatus used for detecting the endpoint or described completion point of an etching process has a detection window, an optical cable, and a bracket for fixedly holding the detection window and the optical cable with respect to each other. The detection window protrudes outwardly from a wall of a reaction chamber. The optical cable transmits light generated during an etching process from the detection window to a detecting device separate from the detection chamber. The bracket is attached to the wall of the reaction chamber so as to configure a space between the bracket and the detection window. The configuration reduces the intensity of the electric field formed between the bracket and plasma in the reaction chamber.
