  • Patent number: 11265711
Abstract: Techniques for enabling a user computing device to manage a controlled device only when the user computer device is physically proximate to the controlled device are disclosed. The controlled device repeatedly provides codes that change at select times and the user computing device sends the last received or captured code back to the controlled device. The user computing device is enabled to manage the controlled device when the most recent code sent by the user computing device matches one or more codes most recently provided by the controlled device. Additionally or alternatively, the user computing device is enabled to manage the controlled device when the user and controlled devices connect to the same access point. A technique for enabling the user computing device to share, mirror, or cast a screen on the user computing device onto a display of the controlled device is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210330135
Abstract: Shower curtains and shower curtain liners routinely get sucked into the occupant of a showering space due to the “shower-curtain effect,” which is the phenomenon in which a shower curtain or shower curtain liner gets drawn inward with a running shower. The present invention counteracts the shower curtain effect. In certain an embodiments of the invention, an outside unit and inside unit incorporate attachment mechanisms to draw both units into each other while trapping the shower curtain between both units. Attached to the outside unit of certain embodiments of the invention is a connector that also attaches a bottom unit. The bottom unit of certain embodiments of the present invention incorporates weight sufficient to utilize gravity to pull the attached shower curtain downward. The bottom unit places pressure on the external side of a bathtub to additionally force the entire apparatus and shower curtain outward.

  • Publication number: 20210291085
Abstract: A method is disclosed for maintaining a filtration device of a system for extracting a liquid from a tank of a motor vehicle. The method is based on risk criteria for detecting (301) the choking of the device and on application criteria for identifying (302) a context favorable to the cleaning of the filtration device. The cleaning of the filtration device, based on generating (303) a reverse stream in the extraction system, is thus only triggered when specific, configurable conditions are identified.

  • Publication number: 20210275279
Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed for providing rapid and accurate dental prosthetic placement on implant abutments with robotic positioning for coping pick-up processing using a provisional fastener. In an embodiment, a dental arch with an open intaglio surface is bonded onto copings that are mounted onto threaded implant abutments with axially separable fasteners through a pick-up process using the same robotic system used to install the implant abutments into bone. The robotic system may apply movement to the prosthesis to aid its removal from abutments after the copings are bonded. The prosthesis with incorporated copings can subsequently be modified for attachment with definitive screws. One embodiment includes a prosthesis with integral robotic attachment features avoiding imaging of fiducial references for proper placement. An embodiment includes temporary arch indexing features between opposing arches to provide proper occlusion during pick-up processing.

  • Patent number: 10680383
Abstract: Embodiments of electrode systems having non-uniform spacing between electrodes along the axial direction for track lighting and other linear systems are disclosed. These systems may be used to provide directional flexibility for removable lighting fixtures with an asymmetric light distribution by providing a range of module position and angular mounting options. Some embodiments include electrodes which overlap continuously or at a series of discrete crossover overlap nodes to provide lateral support without external spacers. Electrode segments may be electrically and mechanically attached at overlap nodes to create extended two- and three-dimensional structures with localized planar areas. Embodiments with preferential bending regions provide additional directional capability.

  • Patent number: 10638906
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is disclosed for a robot (e.g., cleaning robot) to produce a bird's eye view (planar) map by transforming from a robot camera view and stitching together images tagged by location. The planar map can then be presented on a user interface as a floorplan, showing the location of objects (such as rugs). A camera is mounted in the cleaning robot sufficiently high in the cleaning robot housing to provide an angled view downward at a floor. The camera's field of view is captured as an image, and a portion or segment of that image is cropped. The cropped segment is transformed from the camera perspective to a planar view (before or after cropping), and is combined with other images to form a map of a floorplan.

  • Publication number: 20200107914
Abstract: A temporary alignment system and method for holding a dental coping to an implant abutment using the same threads in the abutment that are used for definitive attachment are disclosed. The disclosed temporary fasteners initially orient and hold a coping against an abutment with a force along the same axis as the semi-definitive screw. The aligned coping can be picked-up in a closed-tray impression process without unscrewing the temporary fastener. Embodiments include threaded posts that release copings from the abutment through axial forces. Some embodiments include a threaded post with separable cap that is picked-up with the coping. Methods for converting an existing prosthesis for screw attachment to implants in a single visit and digital capture of the converted prosthesis are described.
