  • Patent number: 4482181
Abstract: A lifter for lifting and manipulating a grill over a heat source such as a barbeque has a hooked portion shaped to pass between adjacent parallel bars of the grill and upon rotating the lifter, to locate under one of the adjacent bars with ends of the hooked portion spaced along this bar. A reaction element is spaced from the hooked portion for engagement with at least one further bar spaced from the adjacent bars; and a handle, the hooked portion and the reaction element are coupled in a fixed relationship relative to one another so that the lifter can be used to move the grill while maintaining the grill in a generally horizontal position with the reaction element in engagement with the further bar or bars, and to lift the grill with the grill hanging freely from the lifter.

  • Patent number: 4450970
Abstract: A display panel for displaying goods in a store is formed by elongate horizontal panel sections of sheet metal secured together in vertically superimposed positions. Each section has an intermediate portion extending from the top of a front wall to the bottom of a rear wall, a first channel formation at the top of the rear wall and a second channel formation at the bottom of the front wall. The first and second channel formations are interengaged to define recesses extending rearwardly from the front walls and upwardly behind the second channel formations, the recesses serving to engage conventional aperture board hooks or hooks and shelve units of novel design. The interengaged channel formations have surfaces connected in surface-to-surface contact with one another to reinforce the display panel.

  • Patent number: 4426990
Abstract: A portable stove for camping and the like has a housing of sheet metal, comprising a dish-shaped lid and a dish-shaped base with burners accommodated in the base, the lid and the base being formed from identical workpieces with front, rear and side walls of the lid having the same length and height dimensions as those of the base to reduce manufacturing costs. The lid and the base are each formed with a curled rim for reinforcement and to facilitate pivotal connection of the base to the lid by tabs projecting from the base and wrapped around the lid rim. Windshields are pivotally connected to the base by tabs projecting from the windshields and wrapped around the rim at the side walls of the base.

  • Patent number: 4414615
Abstract: A mounting arrangement for auxiliary operating components for a high-pressure vapor discharge lamp in a standard inverted cup-shaped mounting structure for an incandescent street lamp comprises a U-shaped bracket attached by a leg of the bracket to the interior of the structure with one leg of the bracket being centrally located in an open end of the structure. A holder for the lamp is attached to the leg of the bracket located in the open end and a reflecting metallic heat shield closes the remaining portion of the open end. One of the auxiliary components is a capacitor which is attached to the other side of this leg and in the interior of the structure by a mounting strap which spaces the capacitor from contact with other components and the structure to limit transfer of heat to the capacitor.
