  • Patent number: 9288132
Abstract: A method for executing an application, comprising: receiving data associated with the application; storing the data in a data buffer in a data store; selecting one or more module instances to define a function of the application, each module instance for independently performing a respective aspect of the function, each module instance independently accessing the data buffer directly from the data store to process data contained therein to perform its aspect of the function; and, using a processor, initiating operation of the one or more module instances in accordance with a schedule defined by one or more routing rules, the one or more routing rules for routing a pointer to the data, as stored in the data buffer, between the one or more module instances to thereby perform the function without passing the data itself between the one or more module instances.

  • Patent number: 8644914
Abstract: This invention relates to the healthcare industry and to a novel non-invasive body surface bipolar ECG to monitor the action potential (AP) of the myocardium muscle. The invention uses surface ECG signals to deduce information on the cardiac ion channels, founded on the reconstruction of the epicardial ECG T-wave using a single transfer filter function of the frequency domain. Ion channels conductances obtained are then used to calculate action potential EndAP, EpiAP and MAP of the myocardium. These APs values can in turn be used to calculate post drug transmural dispersion of repolarisation values to giving an indication of possible cardiac arrhythmias. The invention further relates to various apparatus for carrying out the invention, including an array of bipolar electrodes which in use is arranged on the body surface so as to comprise multiples of orthogonally bisecting electrodes.

  • Patent number: 7627369
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring the QT interval of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is provided wherein the end of the T wave is identified from ECG data. The end of the T wave is defined as the first time of intersection at which an upright T wave of a first set of derived ECG signal data intersects an inverted T wave of a second set of derived ECG signal data. The intersection of the two sets of ECG data is along an isoelectric line within the trough after the positive T wave peak when the superimposed isoelectric baselines from the upright and inverted ECG signals demonstrate the best least squares fit.

  • Patent number: 7565183
Abstract: A combination mobile terminal and camera comprising a housing and a camera device integrated into a first portion of the housing. The camera device and the first portion of the housing in which the camera is integrated are moveable between a first position where the first portion of the housing is substantially aligned with a remaining second portion of the housing and a second misaligned position. In the first position, the camera may be oriented substantially parallel to a keypad, keyboard, or display in the housing. Individual buttons of a keypad on the housing may be used to control mobile terminal functions in one mode and camera functions in another mode. Certain individual buttons of the keypad may be rotatable with the camera. The alignment of the camera is such that it is possible to add additional optical elements to the optical path.

  • Publication number: 20070261287
Abstract: An invention uniting a gun sling and a bipod into one unit. The gun sling remains an active sling for transporting a firearm. The bipod, built into said sling, supports the firearm for increased accuracy. The bipod is a one handed, quick and easy setup. The bipod is comprised of multiple adjustable support legs, that when collasped are stored inside a stretchable nylon pouch, that is securely attached to a gun sling. By pulling downward on a thumb loop, that is located a bottom edge of said pouch, the support legs will automatically deploy into a supporting position thereby giving a shooter an adjustable pivotal support bipod. Support legs are then retracted by flip folding the legs sections back into said pouch preparing for the transporting of the firearm by the attached gun sling. Generally bipods are attached to the exterior of the firearm which will decrease the accuracy of the firearm and causes safety issues.

  • Publication number: 20070256054
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that uses three-dimensional (3D) rendering effects within a 3D graphical user interface (GUI) to enable a user to efficiently visualize and navigate through complex source code structures. During operation, the system receives a request to display a set of source code files in a 3D GUI. Next, in response to the request, the system displays each source code file as a scaled-down version of the actual source code within a box in the 3D GUI, wherein the box is scaled to fit within a viewing window of the 3D GUI regardless of the length of the source code in the file. Note that the scaled-down source code within the box preserves the structure of the actual source code file, including line lengths and indentations. The system also displays calls between source code files as links between source code lines associated with the calls, wherein the links form a call-graph between the set of source code files.

  • Publication number: 20070146643
Abstract: A segmented display system in which the display devices are arranged in a N×1 array is described. The segmented display system includes a plurality of projection devices that each project a portion of an image on a corresponding one of the display devices in the N×1 array. Distortion at the seams between display devices in the N×1 array are minimized by aligning each projection device using a lens mounting based on the position of such projection device in the N×1 array.
