  • Publication number: 20240125421
Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter generally relates to recyclable insulation material for shipping containers, groceries bags, etc., machines for making the recyclable insulation material, and methods for the making the recyclable insulation material. In one aspect, a method of forming an insulation product may include forming a continuous sheet of paper into a plurality of flexible loops defining a plurality of air channels extending in a direction that is substantially perpendicular with a machine direction of the continuous sheet of paper. The method may also include immediately attaching a first layer of paper and a second layer of paper to the plurality of flexible loops as they are formed so that the continuous sheet of paper retains the plurality of flexible loops between the first layer and the second layer and that the plurality of flexible loops remain unattached with respect to one another.

  • Patent number: 9858415
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for recovering from false positives of malware detection. Malware signatures that are defective may be causing false positives during software scanning for malware. Such defective malware signatures may be detected (e.g., by user feedback, etc.) and revoked. Computers that are using the malware signatures to detect malware may be notified of the revoked signatures, and may be enabled to re-scan content identified as containing malware using malware signatures that do not include the revoked malware signatures. As such, if the content is determined during the re-scan to not be infected, the content may be re-enabled for usage on the computer (e.g., may be restored from quarantine storage).

  • Patent number: 9767282
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to antimalware scanning, and more particularly to offline antimalware scanning of a host environment via an alternate, known safe operating system. An offline scanning product obtains data previously written by the host environment online antimalware scanning tool, e.g., configuration data and antimalware signatures in shared data stores accessible to the offline and online products, and uses that data to perform the offline antimalware scan. The offline scanning product writes results information and any quarantined files to other shared data stores, whereby the online environment, when rebooted, has access to the information, such as for review and to upload telemetry information to an online service for analysis. Also described is offline replacement of operating system files that cannot be cleaned or removed when online.

  • Patent number: 9504594
Abstract: A device and method are provided for positioning an infant's hips, and for maintaining the hip joint in a physiological position, during early months of life. The hip-positioning device includes a flexible base having a pair of opposed, outwardly extending side portions. The side portions are dimensioned for supporting thighs of an infant at an acute angle greater than zero relative to a dorsal plane of the infant, with knees of the infant in a flexed position. The base further has a downwardly extending, generally central portion that is adapted for positioning between the infant thighs and dimensioned for retaining the infant thighs in an abducted position. The device additionally includes an element for retaining the base on the infant.

  • Patent number: 9347084
Abstract: A method for screening for variant peptides uses mass spectrometry (MS). A system and a kit may be used for performing the method. Proteins in a sample are digested to form a defined series of peptides. The defined series of peptides are ionized. The ionized species are subjected to collision induced dissociation. Species of known mass/charge ratio are detected to confirm the presence of the protein variant in the original sample.

  • Patent number: 8379674
Abstract: A target time stamp on a target time-base is obtained from a originating time stamp on an originating time-base of an audio video transport system by first taking samples simultaneously from transport streams having the originating time-base and target timebase, respectively. A current sample and an immediately preceding sample for the originating time-base and target time-base are stored, respectively. A first difference is determined between the current sample and an immediately preceding sample for the originating time-base and a second difference is determined between the current sample and an immediately preceding sample for the target time-base, respectively.
