  • Patent number: 8970338
Abstract: A distribution transformer having a slot-and-tab core frame assembly. The core frame (17) encloses a transformer core (11) having at least one phase and provides compression on the core yokes and end members of the transformer to bind the assembly together. First and second clamps (10, 24) of the core frame contain receiving slots (34) for the tabbed (18, 28), longitudinal side supports (20), creating an interlock when connected. • Publication number: 20140361861
Abstract: A method provides a medium voltage radial drop winding for an open wound transformers. The method arranges a plurality of non-electrically conductive supports to extend outwardly from a periphery of an imaginary geometric shape so as to define an interior space. Each support includes a pair of opposing legs disposed in spaced relation and a bottom leg coupling the opposing legs to define at least one elongated slot between the opposing legs. Each slot has an open end. Conductive wire is dropped into the open end of each of the slots to substantially fill the slots and define at least one generally cylindrical winding segment carried by the supports.

  • Publication number: 20130196736
Abstract: Techniques for providing a play field reel glass enhancement on a gaming machine with mechanical spinning reels. A plurality of mechanical spinning reels are configured to indicate a gaming outcome for a wager game played on the gaming machine by a player. A light board located in front of the plurality of mechanical spinning reels lights up individual or groups of the light emitting elements. A graphic element on a reel glass is placed in front of the light board, creating the play field reel glass enhancement that is backlit by the light board to indicate gaming information to a player. A touch screen may be communicatively coupled with the reel glass to receive game input from the player, thereby making the play field reel glass enhancement interactive.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a ring-shaped core for a power transformer. The ring-shaped core extends about an imaginary center axis in the form of a closed toroidal structure and is constituted of a plurality of adjacent layers of sheet metal. The ring-shaped core, along the length of the toroidal structure, is constituted of at least three core section modules that can be connected to and detached from each other, the core section modules being interconnected by an overlap of individual sheet layers and/or sheet layer sections. The disclosure also relates to the arrangement of ring-shaped cores having winding modules. The latter can be arranged in a common connecting structure and every ring core having winding modules arranged therein can be separately introduced into the connecting structure and removed therefrom in a non-destructive manner.
