  • Publication number: 20200057663
Abstract: System and methods providing for categorizing individual virtual machines, as well as the associated application that they form by working in concert, into groups based on the feasibility of hosting the processes that occur on a virtual machine within a container, as well as the relative difficulty of doing so on a virtual machine and application level. The data used to create these scores is collected from the individual machines, at regular intervals through the use of an automated scoring engine that collects and aggregates the data. Said data is then analyzed by the system, that with the aid of passed in configuration data, is configured to generate the scores to allows for an educated and focused effort to migrate from hosting applications on virtual machines to hosting applications on containers.

  • Publication number: 20200023454
Abstract: Nanometers thick conformal coatings deposited by atomic-layer deposition (ALD) onto the metal surface of an active braze joint modifies the surface chemistry to eliminate excess braze filler metal flow. Unlike other means used to prevent braze filler metal runout, the thin ALD coating does not hinder next assembly processes, does not require post-braze cleaning, and does not alter the base material mechanical properties.

  • Patent number: 10525103
Abstract: The invention provides methods and materials for treating a seizure disorder such as epilepsy in a patient which employ a vector encoding a modified receptor, the so-called “DREADD” receptor being characterised by (i) a decreased responsiveness to its endogenous activating ligand (ii) a retained or enhanced responsiveness to an exogenous agonist. The modified receptor is expressed in neurons of a seizure focus in brain of the patient, and an exogenous agonist is administered which activates the modified receptor to reversibly alters the excitability of the neurons in the seizure focus leading to synaptic silencing or other inhibition.

  • Patent number: 10468788
Abstract: A device for rendering safe a detonator firing circuit by short circuiting multiple conductors in the circuit includes a base portion and cable piercing members. The base portion has a cylindrical block and apertures for retentively receiving the cable piercing members. The cable piercing member has a first end to impinge on and penetrate a cable insulation when forcibly attached to an external surface of the cable. The cable piercing member has a low electrical resistance and impedance to generate a short circuit between conductors of the cable. • Publication number: 20170020434
Abstract: Systems and methods detect a multicomponent brain-based bio-signal in non-brain internal body tissues and cavities of a patient, such as the mouth and nostrils. Sub-component signals are filtered from the multi-component signal to isolate occurrences of physiological activities that correspond to the sub-component signals, such as eye movement, heart function, respiration, and body movement. Based on detections of certain body activities from the sub-component signals, the control of or display of a body monitoring device is influenced by such detections.
