    Abstract: A method for fabricating a metallic member includes providing a pre-forging mould. The pre-forging mould comprises an upper mould and a lower mould. The lower mould defines a pre-forging chamber, and a die cavity defined in a bottom surface of the pre-forging chamber. A metallic stock is placed above the die cavity, and the upper mould is moved toward the lower mould to forge the metallic stock, thereby forming a pre-formed body comprising a forging portion and a pre-forged base; annealing the pre-formed body; providing a forging mould to forge the pre-formed body, thereby obtaining a forged-body with a forged base thinner than that of the pre-forged base. Then the forged-body is milled to a desired size, and sandblasted, thereby obtaining the metallic member.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for turbo code decoding are provided to reduce memory consumption during calculation of state metrics. In an embodiment of a turbo code decoder, a natural recursion unit comprises a plurality of add-compare-select (ACS) units performing natural recursion operations to generate a state metric. The original state metric is then converted to a differential metric before being stored into a memory device. The differential metric contains less data than the state metric so that memory consumption is reduced. To restore the original state metric from the differential metric, a plurality of revival units operating in parallel is provided. Thereby, the state metric is reacquired from the differential metric, and a Log Likelihood Recursion (LLR) operation is accordingly performed by an LLR unit.

The pad includes a lower fastener, a buffer member arranged above the lower fastener, an upper fastener connected with the buffer member and mounted onto the housing, and a gripping member disposed above the upper fastener. The housing is arranged with an insertion hole. The gripping member penetrates the insertion hole and clips to a side wall of the housing.
