  • Patent number: 7167422
Abstract: An optical recording apparatus includes an optical pickup unit for generating and directing optical signals onto a given optical medium, and for detecting corresponding reflected optical signals from the optical medium; a focus motor for moving a focusing lens on the optical pickup according to a focus signal for adjusting a defocus of the optical signals on the optical medium; and a focus controller for generating the focus signal. During write operations of the optical recording apparatus, the focus controller is for performing write defocus calibration on the given optical medium to determine an optimal write defocus value for the optical medium. If the optical medium has multiple layers, the write defocus calibration is performed on a particular layer of the optical disc toward which write operations are directed. If the optimal defocus write value is different than a starting write defocus value, an updated write defocus value is stored.

  • Publication number: 20060281369
Abstract: A power plug of a peripheral device for electrically connecting a socket is provided. The power plug includes a first plug pin, a second plug pin, a third plug pin and a fourth plug pin respectively protrude a first length, a second length, a third length and a fourth length from a datum plane of the power plug. The second length is larger than the first length, the third length is substantially the same with the second length, and the fourth length is smaller than the second length. While the power plug is electrically connected to the socket, the second plug pin and the third plug pin respectively contact a second socket pin and a third socket pin first, and then the first plug pin and the fourth plug pin respectively contact a first socket pin and a fourth socket pin to generate an electrical connection.

  • Publication number: 20060245807
Abstract: A keyboard with intervals-adjustable keys has a baseboard, plural pairs of key modules, at least one piezoelectric device and a differential mechanism. The plural pairs of key modules are symmetrically arranged on the baseboard between the vertical axis of the baseboard. The piezoelectric devices connected with the plural pair of key modules are used to output electrical signal. The differential mechanism has at least one differential gear and at least one migration controller. When one of these pairs of key modules is forced to move, the pair of key module drives the corresponding migration controller to propel all of the differential gears. Then the other migration controllers and key modules are driven to move.

  • Publication number: 20060230569
Abstract: A cleaning cloth comprises an upper layer and a lower layer which are adhered together by an adhesive layer. The upper layer is made of polyester-nylon combined split fiber, and the lower layer is made of Melamine sponge. The upper layer can provide an improved capillary action since it is made of split fibers, furthermore, acute angles will be formed after each of the fibers is split, this makes the upper layer 1 wipe off the dirt and liquid more easily. The lower layer only needs to be wetted with clean water and then it can wipe out the dirt easily by rubbing against the dirty surface.

  • Publication number: 20020036959
Abstract: An optical storage carrier drive has a rotative mechanism for rotating an optical storage carrier, and a data access device for recording data to a track on the optical storage carrier. The track contains data units. The speed of each data unit passing by the data access device is termed the linear velocity. The method involves building a look-up table that divides the data units on the track into at least two sequentially arranged data blocks, and giving each data unit a different linear velocity to reduce the acceleration and deceleration of the angular velocity of the optical storage carrier.
