    Abstract: The invention discloses a method for protecting data in a non-volatile storage device and a computer thereof. The computer includes a non-volatile storage device, a temperature sensing unit, and a controller. The temperature sensing unit is disposed at the non-volatile storage device to sense a sensed temperature of the non-volatile storage device and to compare the sensed temperature with a predetermined temperature. The controller is coupled with the temperature sensing unit. When the sensed temperature is higher than the predetermined temperature, the controller makes the computer enter into a hibernation state.

When a power input terminal of the portable computer is connected to a power source, a sensor senses the temperature of electronic components of the portable computer to provide a sensed temperature value. When the sensed temperature value is lower than a preset temperature value, a microprocessor controls an indication device to operate and controls the heating unit to heat the electronic components. When the sensed temperature value is higher than the preset temperature value, the microprocessor controls the indication device not to operate and controls the heating unit stop heating the electronic components.

The method for heating the liquid crystals includes the following steps. First, temperatures of the first glass panel and the second glass panel are sensed. According to values of the temperatures of the first glass panel and the second glass panel, an average temperature of the liquid crystal layer is computed. Afterwards, the average temperature is compared with a predetermined temperature. When the average temperature is lower than the predetermined temperature, the liquid crystal display is heated.
