  • Publication number: 20020138220
Abstract: A computer-implemented system performs quality control on a construction material mixture includes accessing a server located on a wide-area-network; sending information collected from the material mixture to the server; applying one or more test methodologies to the collected information; generating one or more reports from the test methodologies; and sending the one or more reports to a project manager.

  • Patent number: 6276336
Abstract: A pressure reserve for a common rail fuel supply system has outlet connections communicating with injection valves. The outlet connections are disposed in end pieces connected to an elongated hollow body. This disposition of the outlet connections assures that pressure surges that occur in the pressure reservoir have only a very slight influence on the injection events. In addition, economical production of the pressure reservoir is possible.

  • Patent number: 6234148
Abstract: A method for monitoring a pressure sensor, which determines a pressure in a pressure accumulator regulated by a pressure actuator, includes the steps of calculating an expected pressure value in the pressure accumulator for a given point in time based on a holding pressure preset by the pressure actuator and based on a detected rate of change in a mass balance of a medium contained in the pressure accumulator. A pressure value in the pressure accumulator is determined with the pressure sensor at the given point in time. The expected pressure value is compared with the determined pressure value and a malfunction in the pressure sensor is detected if the pressure values deviate from each other beyond a predetermined value. A device for monitoring a pressure sensor is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6125829
Abstract: A method of controlling the exhaust gas recirculation in an internal combustion engine. The operation is improved in the non-steady operating state of the engine by correcting the setpoint value of the exhaust gas recirculation rate for the non-steady operating state.

  • Patent number: 6067799
Abstract: The boost pressure in a turbocharged internal combustion engine is regulated by closed-loop control. A current performance graph value u(k), corresponding to a desired boost pressure, is determined from a speed/load-dependent performance graph. After that, the current performance graph value u(k) is compared with a previous performance graph value u(k-1). If the current performance graph value u(k) is greater than or equal to the previous performance graph value u(k-1), then the current performance graph value u(k) is transmitted as the process parameter x(k). Conversely, if the current performance graph value u(k) is less than the previous performance graph value u(k-1), then the current performance graph value u(k) is filtered by a PT.sub.2 member after an idle time elapses and is transmitted as the process parameter x(k).

  • Patent number: 6035829
Abstract: An injection-pressure setpoint value for the pressure accumulator of an accumulator injection system is specified as a function of the operating point of the engine. The setpoint is specified with the aid of respectively separate characteristic diagrams for the start, idling and load engine operating states. In load operation, the profile of the injection-pressure setpoint value is additionally adapted to the particular requirements of the transient engine operation with a first timing element whose timing characteristics depend on the engine speed. The profile may be briefly raised out of a low engine speed in the case of an acceleration. With the aid of a downstream, second timing element which is independent of the first timing element, sudden transitions in the specification of the setpoint values when the engine operating state changes are suitably smoothed out. Any jumps in the injection-pressure setpoint value are avoided.

  • Patent number: 6013467
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the elimination or/and reduction of interferences which are caused by the presence of free haemoglobin in the determination of an analyte in a sample by optical measurement, wherein one or several peroxidic compounds are added to the analytical reagent or to a part thereof before the measurement. In addition a reagent kit is disclosed which contains at least one peroxidic compound.

  • Patent number: 5971718
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for regulating a volumetric fuel flow regulate a fuel flow delivered by a feed pump to a high-pressure pump of an injection system as a function of a volumetric fuel discharged from a high-pressure reservoir through a high-pressure regulating valve. The regulation is effected through the use of a pressure regulating valve or a volumetric flow regulating valve.

  • Patent number: 5756704
Abstract: Process for the production of oligonucleotides of formula II, in which the exocyclic amino groups of the bases adenine, guanine, cytosine, 7-deazaadenine and 7-deazaguanine carry N-phenylacetyl groups, are used for oligonucleotide synthesis, wherein in a first step a starting nucleotide is bound to a solid carrier, subsequently the desired oligonucleotide is synthesized by stepwise coupling with appropriately activated further monomeric nucleotide building blocks of the general formula I with the above-mentioned meanings, if desired, trivalent phosphorus is oxidized to pentavalent phosphorus during and after the synthesis, the oligonucleotide is cleaved from the carrier and the 5' protecting groups are cleaved off. The phenylacetyl functional groups that protect exocyclic NH.sub.2 groups of the bases can be cleaved off in a mild way with penicillin amidohydrolase (EC 3.5.1.11).
