  • Publication number: 20240111574
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing a hierarchical scheduler. In various implementations, a processor includes a global scheduler, and a plurality of independent local schedulers with each of the local schedulers coupled to a plurality of processors. In one implementation, the processor is a graphics processing unit and the processors are computation units. The processor further includes a shared cache that is shared by the plurality of local schedulers. Each of the local schedulers also includes a local cache used by the local scheduler and processors coupled to the local scheduler. To schedule work items for execution, the global scheduler is configured to store one or more work items in the shared cache and convey an indication to a first local scheduler of the plurality of local schedulers which causes the first local scheduler to retrieve the one or more work items from the shared cache.

  • Publication number: 20240111575
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing a message passing system to schedule work in a computing system. In various implementations, a processor includes a global scheduler, and a plurality of local schedulers with each of the local schedulers coupled to a plurality of processors. The processor further includes a shared cache that is shared by the plurality of local schedulers. Also, a plurality of mailboxes are implemented to enable communication between the local schedulers and the global scheduler. To schedule work items for execution, the global scheduler is configured to store one or more work items in the shared cache and store an indication in a mailbox for a first local scheduler of the plurality of local schedulers. Responsive to detecting the message in the mailbox, the first local scheduler identifies a location of the one or more work items in the shared cache and retrieves them for scheduling locally.

  • Publication number: 20240084286
Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for substantially increasing the concentration of cfDNA in a patient. By injecting a patient with lipid and/or polymer nanoparticles, agents that bind cfDNA, or inhibit deoxyribonucleases prior to collection of a sample of cfDNA, e.g., by way of a liquid biopsy, major pathways for the degradation of cfDNA are temporarily blocked, permitting transient accumulation of cfDNA. This strategy has the potential to dramatically enhance the quality of detection achieved by downstream cfDNA e analytical applications, such as sequencing applications.

  • Publication number: 20240087297
Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods are directed to generating customized imagery includes receiving input parameters that define operations for one of plural disparate image processing tools in generating the customized imagery and define attributes of the customized imagery to be generated. Program code for generating an API is executed and the API establishes communication with each image processing tool. The API generates parameterized calls which provide instructions for a specified one of the image processing tools to generate the customized imagery. The image processing tool which receives the instructions is identified from the input parameters. The parameterized calls are sent to the parameterized calls to the image processing tool and the customized imagery is generated. The customized imagery is returned to the API and is stored in a database as training data for an artificial intelligence model.

  • Patent number: 11907830
Abstract: Hardware for implementing a Deep Neural Network (DNN) having a convolution layer. A plurality of convolution engines each perform a convolution operation by applying a filter to a data window. Each of the plurality of convolution engines includes multiplication logic that combines a weight of a filter with a respective data value of a data window; control logic that receives configuration information identifying a set of filters for operation on a set of data windows at the plurality of convolution engines; determines a sequence of convolution operations for evaluation at the multiplication logic; requests weights and data values for at least partially applying a filter to a data window; and causes the multiplication logic to combine the weights with their respective data values. Accumulation logic accumulates the results of a plurality of combinations performed by the multiplication logic to form an output for a convolution operation of the determined sequence.

  • Patent number: 11894155
Abstract: A nuclear reactor is designed to couple the load path of control elements with the reactor core, thus reducing opportunity for differential movement between the control elements and the reactor core. A core barrel can be fabricated in a manufacturing facility to include the reactor core, control element supports, and control element drive system. The core barrel can be mounted to a reactor vessel head. Movement, such as through seismic forces, transmits an equal direction and magnitude to the control elements and the reactor core, thus inhibiting the opportunity for differential movement.
