  • Patent number: 11496707
Abstract: Techniques for receiving and processing sensor data captured by a fleet of vehicle are discussed herein. In some examples, a fleet dashcam system can receive sensor data captured by electronic devices on a fleet of vehicles and can use that data to detect collision and near-collision events. The data of the collision or near-collision event can be used to determine a simulation scenario and a response of an autonomous vehicle control to the simulation scenario and/or it can be used to create a collision heat map to aid in operation of an autonomous vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220350018
Abstract: Techniques for determining a probability of a false negative associated with a location of an environment are discussed herein. Data from a sensor, such as a radar sensor, can be received that includes point cloud data, which includes first and second data points. The first data point has a first attribute and the second data point has a second attribute. A difference between the first and second attributes is determined such that a frequency distribution may be determined. The frequency distribution may then be used to determine a distribution function, which allows for the determination of a resolution function that is associated with the sensor. The resolution function may then be used to determine a probability of a false negative at a location in an environment. The probability can be used to control a vehicle in a safe and reliable manner.

  • Patent number: 11472442
Abstract: Techniques relating to monitoring map consistency are described. In an example, a monitoring component associated with a vehicle can receive sensor data associated with an environment in which the vehicle is positioned. The monitoring component can generate, based at least in part on the sensor data, an estimated map of the environment, wherein the estimated map is encoded with policy information for driving within the environment. The monitoring component can then compare first information associated with a stored map of the environment with second information associated with the estimated map to determine whether the estimated map and the stored map are consistent. Component(s) associated with the vehicle can then control the object based at least in part on results of the comparing.

  • Publication number: 20220326023
Abstract: Techniques for verifying a reliability of map data are discussed herein. In some examples, map data can be used by a vehicle, such as an autonomous vehicle, to traverse an environment. Sensor data (e.g., image data, lidar data, etc.) can be received from a sensor associated with a vehicle and may be used to generate an estimated map and confidence values associated with the estimated map. When the sensor data is image data, images data from multiple perspectives or different time instances may be combined to generate the estimated map. The estimated map may be compared to a stored map or to a proposed vehicle trajectory or corridor to determine a reliability of the stored map data.

  • Publication number: 20220278919
Abstract: This application provides a mapping relationship updating method, applied to deterministic networking. The method includes: A first device sequentially obtains a first packet and a second packet that are sent by a second device; the first device determines a first time difference between a time at which the first packet is received and a time at which the second packet is received; and if the first device determines that the first time difference is not within a preset range, the first device updates a period-based mapping relationship.

  • Publication number: 20220239640
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to systems and methods for automatic sign in upon account signup. Particularly, the present embodiments can utilize a federated login approach for automatic sign in upon account signup for a cloud infrastructure. Specifically, the signup and sign in service (also known as SOUP) and an identity provider portal can be configured such that the nodes are aware of each other as Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) partners. After new account registration, the signup service can redirect the user browser to a cloud infrastructure console to start with a federated login flow, where a sign in service can issue a SAML authentication request, and redirects it to signup service. Responsive to validating the browser using a SAML authentication process, the browser can be automatically signed into the new account and allowed access the account relating to the cloud infrastructure service.

  • Patent number: 11356438
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer storage media for providing identification of secrets as one-way secrets in a computing environment. In particular, a secret isolation manager of an access management in the computing environment can identify an entity as an owner of secrets in a secret storage structure. In operation, the secret isolation manager, can receive a request, associated with a requesting entity, to access a secret associated with an approving entity. The request can be for an application of the requesting entity to access a secret of the approving entity. The secret isolation manager accesses the secret storage structure that stores affinity identifiers, where an affinity identifier indicates that the requesting entity has a one-way affinity with the approving entity that owns the secret. The one-way affinity operates to allow the approving entity to share the secret with the requesting entity, so the requesting entity is granted access to the secret.

  • Patent number: 11353578
Abstract: Techniques are discussed for determining reflected returns in radar sensor data. In some instances, pairs of radar returns may be compared to one another. For example, a reflection point may be determined from a first position of a first radar return and a second position of a second radar return. Additional data, e.g., sensor data and/or map data, may be used to determine the presence of objects in the environment. The first return or the second return may be a reflected return if an object is disposed at the reflection point. In some instances, a vehicle, such as an autonomous vehicle, may be controlled at the exclusion of information from reflected returns.

  • Patent number: 11353577
Abstract: Techniques are discussed for generating a spatial grid based on radar sensor data. The spatial grid may include cells, which may be designated as being occupied, occluded, and/or free space. A cell may be designated as being occupied if radar sensor data is associated with a region of an environment associated with the cell. A field may be designated as being occluded if a region of the environment associated with the cell is obstructed, relative to a radar sensor, by a cell that is designated as being occupied. In some instances, objects may be detected and/or tracked in occluded regions. A cell may be designated as being free space if a region associated with the cell is within a field of view of a radar sensor and is unoccupied and un-occluded. In some instances, the spatial grid may be used to control a vehicle, such as an autonomous vehicle, in the environment.

  • Patent number: 11348340
Abstract: Navigation systems can identify objects in an environment and generate representations of those objects. A representation of an articulated vehicle can include two segments rotated relative to each other about a pivot, with a first segment corresponding to a first portion of the articulated vehicle and the second segment corresponding to a second portion of the articulated vehicle. The articulated object can be tracked in the environment by generating estimated updated states of the articulated agent based on previous states and/or measured states of the object using differing motion model updates for the differing portions. The estimated updated states may be determined using one or more filtering algorithms, which may be constrained using pseudo-observables.
