Abstract: Two-piece sump cover plate, without water inlet, enables easy installation over the sump container. This two-piece cover plate also enables easy access to the interior of the sump container for servicing of the sump pump, replacement of the sump pump, or other necessary purposes without disassembly of the sump pump discharge conduit. This cover plate has two openings, one accommodates the discharge conduit of the sump pump and the other accommodates the pipe of the battery back up sump pump. The cover plate can have the option Of having only one opening that only accommodates the discharge conduit from the sump pump when battery back up sump pump is not used.
