  • Publication number: 20140212301
Abstract: An electric motorcycle comprises a hydraulic pump, an oil passage, a first hydraulic pressure detecting section for detecting a hydraulic pressure in the oil passage, a hydraulic pressure determiner section for determining if the hydraulic pressure is less than a first allowable value, a pump state determiner section for determining if an activation command is output to the hydraulic pump, and a warning output section for outputting a warning signal according to a result of the determination performed by the hydraulic pressure determiner section and a result of the determination performed by the pump state determiner section, wherein the warning signal is not output when the activation command is not output and the hydraulic pressure is less than the first allowable value; and the warning signal is output when the activation command is output and the hydraulic pressure is less than the first allowable value.

  • Patent number: 8157041
Abstract: A motorcycle includes an engine having a substantially vertical cylinder assembly and disposed in a front half of a vehicle body frame, an inverted type rear cushion unit disposed behind the engine in substantially vertical posture, an air cleaner disposed behind the rear cushion unit and below a rider's seat, and an intake air passage connecting air an intake port formed in a rear portion of the cylinder assembly and the air cleaner each other. The intake air passage, i.e., connecting pipe, is arranged so as to be overlapped with an upper portion of the rear cushion unit in a side view of the motorcycle. A cross section shape of the connecting pipe is a vertically long shape in which its longitudinal size is greater than its lateral size.

  • Patent number: 6144183
Abstract: A motor driving system comprises a plurality of motor driving control units each for controlling a motor and a controller for issuing a control command to a motor driving control unit. The controller and each of the motor driving control units have communication interfaces for infrared communications capable of transreceiving the signals. A loop communication using infrared rays is executed between the controller and one of the motor driving control units and also among the motor driving control units.
