  • Patent number: 6247288
Abstract: A device for installing roof fabric on the roof of a metal frame building having a plurality of parallel purlins on the top thereof. The device retains a spool of fabric therein and includes a frame having a guide that movably slides on the top of the purlin and a tensioning device that engages a lower surface of the purlin, whereby movement of the device allows the fabric to unroll over the roof.

  • Patent number: 5953875
Abstract: A slide-in building insulation system wherein a plurality of slide tracks are secured in spaced parallel relation to a plurality of secondary structural members which are extended longitudinally between oppositely situated primary structural members of the building roof structure and/or walls. An elongated suspension sheet, including a flexible fabric extended between thicker guide strips along each edge thereof, is slide-fit into place with the guide strips being received within and advanced through the slide tracks so that the suspension sheet covers the space between adjacent slide tracks. An edge suspension sheet covers the space between a primary structural member and an adjacent slide track, each edge suspension sheet having a guide strip along only one side edge thereof and an opposite side edge adapted to be secured to the primary structural member.

  • Patent number: 5901518
Abstract: A system for thermally insulating a building roof structure and providing fall protection includes a gridwork of longitudinal and transverse high strength tensioned bands which co-act with a suspension sheet which is sealed along its edges and fastened at multiple locations to the building structure for both supporting insulation material thereon and providing an alternate means of fall protection.

  • Patent number: 4573298
Abstract: A system for insulating a building roof structure having a plurality of secondary structural members extended longitudinally between a pair of oppositely situated primary structural members includes a plurality of spaced-apart parallel support bands extended transversely across the undersides of the secondary structural members, a suspension sheet supported on said bands and extending longitudinally between a pair of primary structural members and transversely across a plurality of the secondary structural members, thermal insulation material supported on the suspension sheet and band fastener means for connecting the bands to the secondary structural members, the suspension sheet being continuous but for the passage of the band fastener means therethrough. The invention is also directed to a plurality of band hangers with coacting fastener means to facilitate connection of the bands to the secondary structural members.

  • Patent number: 4446664
Abstract: A system for insulating the ceiling of a building includes a plurality of spaced parallel support bands suspended between opposite walls of the building in vertically spaced relation from the ceiling, a continuous independent suspension sheet of a vapor barrier material supported on the bands, a plurality of band fasteners connecting the bands to the ceiling at spaced-apart positions along the bands, and thermal insulation material supported on the vapor barrier suspension sheet.
