  • Publication number: 20110062072
Abstract: A fluid filter providing several degrees of filtering is designed to be receivable in a filter container that is closable by a cover. The filter itself includes both an annular main filter element, through which fluid to be filtered can pass radially to undergo primary filtration, and a supplemental filter element, to which fluid discharged from the main filter element passes to provide supplemental filtration additional to the primary filtration. The main filter element, the supplemental filter element, or both may be oblong or circular in cross section. At least one of a pair of end caps disposed on opposed ends of the main filter element carries the supplemental filter element as well as one end of the main filter element. That end cap may or may not be permanently secured to the one filter element end.

  • Publication number: 20110062075
Abstract: A fuel filter, such as a filter for filtering gasoline or diesel fuel to be supplied to an internal combustion engine, includes an annular main filter element through which fluid to be filtered can pass radially, and a supplemental fluid processing element disposed within the main filter element to which fluid discharged from the main filter element passes. The filter also has end caps, between which opposite ends of both the main filter element and the supplemental fluid processing element are disposed, and to which the opposite ends of both the main filter element and the supplemental fluid processing element are secured. Fluid is discharged from a central volume of the filter through one of the end caps.

  • Publication number: 20100259088
Abstract: The prostate golf cart seat protects the prostate area of men from continuous bouncing by providing a 1½? air space between the seat and the prostate. The prostate golf cart seat may be movable or stationary. The stationary seat would have two 7? wide spaces with a 1½? air space wider the prostate. The movable seat would have two 8? stationary end cushions. The center would consist of two 8? cushions moving along a rail which would allow riders to close the 7? seat gap to within 2? from the stationary end cushion. The center air space between each rider and seat of each would have a depth 1½?. It would be adjusted with a “T” bolt or a knurled knob. The stationary seat would have two 7? wide spaces where the prostate would be positioned with a depth of 1½? between the prostate and the seat.

  • Patent number: 7801269
Abstract: A radiation treatment system and method of commissioning the system, the system including a gantry, a radiation source operable to produce a beam of radiation, and a measurement device. The measurement device is physically connected to the gantry, and includes a multi-dimensional scanning arm, and a detector. The method includes generating radiation from the radiation source, passing the radiation through an attenuation block, and receiving radiation with the measurement device. The measurement device is positioned such that it is not in contact with water. Data is generated from the radiation received and the system is commissioned using the generated data to match system characteristics to a previously defined standard.

  • Publication number: 20100224161
Abstract: A filter arrangement for liquids has a filter housing and a functional carrier arranged inside the filter housing. A cylindrical filter element is inserted axially into the filter housing and defines an unfiltered side and a filtered side inside the filter housing. A non-return diaphragm is secured within the filter housing, wherein the non-return diaphragm is arranged on the functional carrier so as to effect an axial and/or radial sealing action of the unfiltered side relative to the filtered side of the filter arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20100049490
Abstract: A method for performing an analysis of an oilfield network. The oilfield network includes multiple wellsites. The method includes collecting oilfield data from the oilfield network, modeling a first wellsite using the oilfield data to create a first production model of the first wellsite, and modeling a second wellsite using the oilfield data to create a second production model of the second wellsite. The method further includes modeling a sub-network of the oilfield network to create a third production model of the sub-network. The modeling of the sub-network includes identifying a junction of a branch associated with the first wellsite and a branch associated with the second wellsite. A fourth production model is created for the junction by combining the first production model with the second production model. The production model of the sub-network is created using the fourth production model of the junction.

  • Publication number: 20090173012
Abstract: An adjustable restraining stop assembly permits a residential double hung window to be locked in a partially opened position to permit ventilation through the partial opening. The stop includes an outer tube with a telescoping inner tube. The outer tube is mounted to a window sash by a removable fixation device, such as a mounting hook and loop arrangement. A convenience knob is attached near the distal end of the inner tube. Adjustment is set by placing a desired hole of a plurality of holes in the telescoping inner tube in registration with a single hole in the outer tube and then inserting the end of a fastener, such as a cotter pin, locking both tubes together.

  • Publication number: 20090167048
Abstract: An adjustable length vehicle trunk locking assembly prevents violent excursions of a tied-down trunk hood during travel. The assembly includes a non-stretch rope, with a spring snap fitted at one end of the non stretch rope, which is fed through a ball line tightener having a second spring snap attached thereto. The spring snap at the end of the locking assembly engages around a structural member or hook attached to the inside of the trunk or hatch lid while the lid is open. The non-stretch rope is then fed through the ball line tightener to facilitate snapping the second spring snap to the trunk or hatch lock loop or other point at the bottom frame or beyond. Then the rope is tightened by pulling the lid in contact with the protruding object.

  • Publication number: 20070244500
Abstract: A balloon catheter construction for percutaneous use is provided employing a balloon polymer material bonded to an introducer shaft with a bonding agent comprising a low molecular weight oligomer corresponding to the higher molecular weight polymer of the balloon. The oligomer functions alone or together with a primer which enables bonding to the shaft during heat curing, thereby securing the balloon thereon. The balloon introducer catheter is designed to effectively block emboli material which are released from say a plaque rupture, or other site and to then to remove such material by suction from a blood vessel such as a vein or artery.

  • Publication number: 20060217613
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sizing stents is provided by employing a thin-walled, compliant, silicone rubber or elastomer balloon catheter into a patient's artery to determine plaque size, contours and plaque length. One or both ends of the catheter may incorporate a radiopaque material to locate the catheter and enable the length and size of the stent to be determined. The catheter may incorporate one or more sensors to determine the density and contours of the plaque. Additionally, one or more relief bores may be incorporated into the catheter to permit blood flow during the short period of time when the artery is blocked, thereby reducing the possibility of oxygen starvation of the heart, brain and other organs.

  • Patent number: 5481139
Abstract: This invention is an emergency, inertia-type circuit breaker that is opened when a vehicle is involved in an accident. Within a fraction of a second after the initial accident impact, current will flow to the unlocked side of electric powered door locks and to auxiliary emergency equipment such as side or rear seat airbags and the like. Once the circuit breaker is completely opened, all electrical systems of the vehicle will be shut down except current to the auxiliary emergency equipment and to the open side of electric powered windows.
