  • Publication number: 20030182260
Abstract: At least one of pre-planting information, planting information, growing information, harvesting information, chemical information, weather information, adjacent crop information, processing information, manufacturing information and retail information is stored in data storage. The stored information is arranged to provide a data profile associated with a particular crop for a defined geographic area. A storage identifier is associated with the arranged data profile for the particular crop. The storage identifier identifies at least one of a container and segregated storage bin for holding a particular crop for a tracked (e.g., an assigned) time duration.

  • Publication number: 20030182259
Abstract: A method and system of tracing an agricultural product relates to recording of at least one of planting information, growing information, harvesting information, chemical information, and weather information (e.g., electronically recorded) concerning a crop to form a data profile for a corresponding crop. Once harvested, the crop is segregated from intermixing with other harvested crops by placing the crop in one or more containers, each having a corresponding identifier. The data profile is associated with the container profile for later referencing of the data profile.

  • Publication number: 20030111546
Abstract: An automatic wind-drift compensation system is provided for an agricultural sprayer. The system includes a control unit adapted to receive input data including wind speed and direction, vehicle speed and direction, and desired spray overlap. The control unit is programmed with a set of instructions for processing the data and generating output data. The output data facilitates steering of the sprayer through the field to achieve the desired spray overlap.

  • Patent number: 6285198
Abstract: A moisture sensor for an agricultural combine comprises a chamber having an inlet and an outlet and a paddle wheel flow controller located adjacent to the outlet. The paddle wheel flow controller is rotated by an electric motor which is controlled by an electronic controller. Grain from the clean grain elevator is directed through the inlet of the chamber past a capacitance sensor comprising a first, second and third plates. By measuring the capacitance of the grain, the moisture in the grain can be determined.

  • Patent number: 5686671
Abstract: A mass flow sensor for a combine is positioned in the transition housing between the paddle elevator of the clean grain elevator and the loading auger of the clean grain tank. The mass flow sensor comprises an impact plate having an arm which is axially aligned with the predominant grain flow from the paddle elevator. The arm is coupled to a force measuring assembly having a potentiometer for generating an electric signal that is proportional to impact force.
