  • Publication number: 20100131310
Abstract: Generally described, aspects of the present invention are directed at software systems for managing the logistics of one or more voyages. In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided for collecting and disseminating voyage data in a computer networking environment. In this regard, the method includes providing a user interface that is accessible in the computer networking environment configured with controls for accepting input from one or more users. Then, a set of voyage data is collected from the user interface that describes the attributes of the cargo scheduled to be shipped on a voyage. As data is obtained from users, the method calculates a set of utilization statistics based on the collected voyage data that describes the extent that the capacity available from a carrier will be utilized. In this regard, the collected voyage data and utilization statistics may be accessed by authorized users from a central location.

  • Patent number: 7651016
Abstract: A combination waist pack is worn comfortably about the waist and unfolds to provide a protective accessory such as a seat cushion, water resistant or insulated barrier to kneel or lay down upon, or other apparel or padded articles providing protection to various parts of a person for use in outdoor sports and recreation. The invention is convertible to a seat or other protective device while unfolded and a warm & protective waistband, hand warmer & padded pack while folded. A user is not required to attach a seat accessory as an addition to the invention nor does he/she have to take up additional space by placing it in a pocket. Therefore, the invention is less bulky even when using thicker materials for padding. The invention is also simpler to utilize than previous inventions. The invention provides seating, padding, & warmth. It is more desirable, more fashionable, more convenient, less noticeable, and more comfortable for sports and leisure.

  • Publication number: 20070174100
Abstract: In order to maintain the integrity of data between a scheduler and a financial management tool, current states of the two systems are compared and line items that do not agree are flagged, followed by an electronic recursive update of one of the systems based on an evaluation of the reason for the lack of correspondence. In one embodiment, a line-by-line comparison between the data in the two systems is made and any anomalies are flagged. The flagged anomalies are then presented to individuals who decide whether or not the anomaly is significant. If the anomaly is significant, then steps are taken, in one embodiment in the scheduler, to accommodate the difference between the two data sets.

  • Publication number: 20050211657
Abstract: This closure device comprises a removable closure for closing the neck of the container and a sealing piece adapted to be applied in tight abutment on the pouring edge of the neck by the closure. The sealing piece defines, on its side intended to be turned towards the pouring edge, a first surface for tight abutment on the pouring edge and, on the opposite side, a second surface for pressing abutment of the closure, the respective contact properties of these first and second bearing surfaces being adapted to provoke, upon application of an effort of pressure on the sealing piece by the closure, a rotational connection of the sealing piece and of the neck at the level of the first bearing surface and a sliding contact between the sealing piece and the closure at the level of the second bearing surface. The invention is more particularly applicable to the closure of containers made of glass or a similar fragile material.
