  • Publication number: 20030051755
Abstract: A fluid pressure-reducing unit or pressure-reducing valve allowing the pressure or flow rate of a fluid to be controlled or adjusted, including a main body within which at least one internal fluid passage is made between at least one fluid inlet orifice and at least one fluid outlet orifice, a part for controlling the fluid pressure and/or flow rate being arranged in or on at least part of the internal fluid passage, and at least one operator-operable rotary hand wheel part cooperating with the fluid pressure and/or flow rate control part, in response to the rotary hand wheel part being rotated, so as to control or adjust the pressure and/or the flow rate of the fluid flowing through the internal fluid passage and leaving via the fluid outlet orifice, wherein the rotary hand wheel parts can move in terms of rotation into a number of distinct angular positions, each angular position corresponding to a given fliud pressure or flow rate value, and the rotary hand wheel part having an angular travel less than 340

  • Patent number: 6193801
Abstract: A fixture for releasable retaining at least one lenticular article in a fixed orientation while the article(s) is/are being subjected to one or more applications of a thin film coating process comprises a perforated metallic sheet having at least one aperture therein adapted to receive the article(s). The thickness of the metal fixture bears a ratio to the size of the articles being retained that is within a particular range. A method for applying thin film optical coatings to lenticular articles utilizing such a fixture is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4561312
Abstract: A turbine for a multijet fluid flow meter having a planar disk mounted for rotation in the meter housing includes a plurality of vertical blades supported normal to, and by, the disk. A ribbed shaft carried by the disk drives a counter. The disk may include braking ribs on the upper or lower surface for slowing rotation of the disk when subjected to strong fluid flows. Various blade configurations are contemplated, and the turbine may additionally take the form of a duality of parallel disks interconnected by a plurality of blades normal to both disks.
