  • Patent number: 11979641
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for relevance-based media content discovery. Relevance scores for segments of a media asset are calculated based on a time amount that at least one viewer has viewed the segments of the media asset. Segments are then chosen for display based on the relevance score. Users may select segments based on representative images of the segments.

  • Patent number: 11603637
Abstract: A wave attenuator system for protecting a floating dock or other structure from incoming wake created by wind or vessel is disclosed herein, in various aspects. The wave attenuator system may include a substantially rectangular curtain made of a water-impermeable flexible material, in various aspects. The curtain top edge may be secured along the length of at least one of the sides of a dock, in various aspects. The curtain bottom edge may be suspended in a body of water a predetermined distance below the water surface, in various aspects. The bottom edge may include a weighted material to maintain the curtain in a substantially vertical orientation, in various aspects. The wave attenuator system is operable to redirect waves impacting the curtain downward to reduce wave action against the dock or other structure, in various aspects.

  • Patent number: 7328032
Abstract: Short messages are formatted as control messages in a communication network but do not control the communication network. Techniques for dynamically distributing short messages include remotely reprogramming a control node that processes control messages for the communications network to change processing of short messages without further involvement by a vendor of the control node. In some embodiments, this involves sending provider data that includes a special parameter set, a special value set, and a special action set. The special parameter set includes at least one parameter among multiple parameters in multiple network protocol headers for a data packet that includes a short message. The special value set includes at least one value for each parameter in the special parameter set. The special action set includes at least one action of multiple actions for forwarding a short message.

  • Publication number: 20070259732
Abstract: An ergonomically designed golf club grip including a butt portion which is raised above the axis of the shaft of the club, on the side of the axis closest to the club head toe, to facilitate a proper hand position on the club. The grip is preferably held in the lifeline of the palm of the upper hand, which produces a straighter wrist position and a freer release of the club through the hitting area and follow through.

  • Publication number: 20070135232
Abstract: A golf putter head with traditional looks when viewed from above and an elevated center of gravity. The putter head comprises a central lower cavity portion under a weight flange, while the weight flange has been elevated towards the middle of the putter head, with mass relieved portions below the flange and on either side of the central mass relived cavity, with the bottom of the central weight relieved cavity forming the sole, and the upper side of the flange being compressed to maintain a traditional view from above.

  • Publication number: 20070095392
Abstract: A modified compressed gas cylinder for use in hydrogen powered vehicles which lessens the explosive danger from accidental collisions by using an electronic signal from the airbag system to open a normally closed pressure relief valve. The released hydrogen gas releases through a vent pipe which exits either through the fill pipe area or through a vent in the top of the automobile. A whistle on the vent pipe informs drivers, passengers and bystanders if the pressure relief valve is allowing the escape of hydrogen gas. A mechanical lever maintains the open position of the pressure relief valve once the airbag signal is received until the driver triggers a mechanical latch similar to a trunk release which returns the pressure relief valve to its normally closed position. The pressure relief valve can also open if for some reason the internal pressure of the hydrogen storage tank exceeds the appropriate safety level due to excess density and or temperature rise.

  • Patent number: 7209759
Abstract: Techniques for dynamically distributing short messages include storing action data and parameter data. Action data indicates actions for forwarding a short message and includes an action to bypass a short message service center (SMSC). Parameter data indicates parameters in network protocol headers for a short message. Provider input data is received that indicates a special value set and a special action set. The special value set includes a value for a corresponding special parameter set that includes a parameter from the parameter data. The special action set includes an action to be performed if an actual value set matches the special value set. When a particular short message is received, it is determined whether an actual value set based on the particular short message matches the special value set. If so, then the short message is processed according to the special action set.
