  • Publication number: 20240159053
Abstract: A structural framing system using horizontal spacing bracing members that transverses the support members at the apertures at both ends of the support members by interlocking the perimeter notches of the apertures to the side wall notches of the horizontal spacing bracing member at both the top end and the bottom end of the support members and connected without fasteners. The spacing bracing members can be formed using a one-piece configuration or a two or three-piece configuration. Fireboard can be applied to the metal framing along with fire stops and fireproof materials. The structural framing can be completed at the job site or in a factory and shipped to the job site as prefabricated panels. The same framing members can be used to form beams at door and window openings.

  • Publication number: 20230093777
Abstract: The present invention relates to metal framed wall components with self-locking fixed and sliding connections between support members and crossing connecting members without using fasteners to connect the two crossing metal framing members together. Different variations of the shapes of the connecting members as well as the location and shape of the notches, ledges, tabs and notched-tabs are used between the members at the holes, punch-outs or indentations all determine the self-locking connections.

  • Publication number: 20230082777
Abstract: Spacing bracing members connect to support members through the hole in the support members by using the notches in the spacing bracing member to intersect the hole side edges. The spacing bracing members can pass through the hole having a hook finger end without extending past the support member. Spacing bracing members overlap at the hole in the support member with the notches from the spacing bracing members engaging the hole side edges. The shape and size of the spacing bracing member can vary depending on the shape of the hole and the location and shape of the notches.

  • Publication number: 20220389709
Abstract: The present invention relates to connecting spacing members between support members using spacing members having notches that engage the side edges of the linear shape holes or round holes in the support members whether the holes have rims or ledges to secure the spacing members or crossing other support members having notches in the edges of the lips. The spacer braces can overlap each other and connect at the top, bottom or within the holes of support members. The support members have ledges and rims to eliminate vertical and horizontal movement of the spacer braces with end fingers to stop end the spacer braces.

  • Publication number: 20200165817
Abstract: This application is an accumulation of various patent pending applications showing multiple configurations for connecting metal framing components together where the metal framing members are self-locking connectors that intersect, overlap, between other securing the metal support members together. The connections between the metal framing members uses various types of notches in the support members and notches in the metal framing member to secure metal framing together by using hook fingers, hook tongue, hook receivers, ledges, and tabs to secure the crossing members together forming the self-locking connections. The metal framing components have various longitudinal ends allowing where the longitudinal ends can have the same configuration or different configurations and still be an overlapping interlocking connection.

  • Patent number: 10422136
Abstract: The self-locking metal framing connections between support members and the crossing longitudinal spacing-bracing members can occur at the hole, at the top and bottom ends of the support members as well as the end-to-end connections between longitudinal spacing-bracing members. Connecting the hook tab with a notched-tab to a receiver hole in the adjacent web allows the longitudinal spacer brace to pivot horizontally and if the hook tongue with the notched tab and the receiver hole are in the flanges, the spacer braces can pivot vertically. Short longitudinal spacer braces with receiver holes and hook tongues with notched-tabs, key hole bendable tabs, different shaped spacer braces, different variations in the hole notches, notched tabs in the hole bottom edge, diagonal framing between holes and longitudinal spacing-bracing members having notched-tab receivers can be installed in the lip notches or the horizontal spacing-bracing member and/or into the slot holes of the flanges of another spacing-bracing member.
