Abstract: The invention is directed to wound care apparatus and methods that provide for non-contact wound covering. The apparatus can be configured to be positioned on any portion of the body, and comprises a body member having a base providing a sealing surface for application to the skin or other surface. The body member has a shape and size to at least substantially circumscribe the area of a wound. The body member further includes at least one wall forming an enclosed space over the wound area. The apparatus substantially seals a wound under the enclosed space from the external environment. One or more ports to allow the ingress or egress of fluids or treatment agents may be provided. Treatment methods are also provided for treatment of wounds using the device.

Abstract: A device for exercising abdominal muscles comprising a platform having an upper surface and a lower surface adapted for omni-directional motion, a pair of generally longitudinal limb supporting areas positioned on said upper surface, a pair of lateral hand grips each of said pair extending from the upper surface of the platform and disposed in opposed relation laterally and outwardly from one of said limb supporting areas, and a front hand grip extending from the upper surface of the platform and disposed generally forward of the limb supporting areas. Methods for using this device are also disclosed.

Abstract: A clamp for securing apparatus such as end-of-train equipment to a railroad coupler head includes a first finger member that is mounted to pivot about a pivot pin in scissors-like manner between a fixed second and third finger member affixed to a housing, a threaded rod and cooperating piston for pivoting the first finger member away from the fixed second and third finger members, a rail member for abutting against an outside surface of the coupler head, and a crank and handle for tightening the grip of the first, second and third fingers on the inner surfaces of the core hole when the crank is rotated.

Abstract: A closure assembly for attachment to the lid of a container for the storage and dispensing of towelettes or similar articles is constructed so as to be receivable within a preformed keyhole-shaped opening in the container lid. The assembly includes a body with a main radially extending flange larger than the opening in the lid. The lower portion of the body carries radially extending locking tabs which are dimensioned to fit through the lid opening and, upon the closure being turned, to engage the lower surface of the lid in opposed relationship with the flange which engages the upper surface. Antirotation tabs also extend radially of the lower portion of the body and again, upon rotation, engages the edges of the lid opening to thus secure the closure on the lid. A cap is also provided to releasably engage the upper portion of the closure body to provide a substantially airtight seal for the container.

Abstract: A container and applicator combination includes a container for a product and an applicator for the product. The container has at least one pair of engagement grooves disposed so as to receive and engage the applicator which is thus releasably attached to the container. The applicator has a handle base and projecting, container engaging legs which can be snapped into releasable engagement with the engagement grooves in the container and is configured substantially complemental to at least a portion of the container configuration.
