The copolymerization of the perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether with a common fluorinated olefin can provide a copolymer having a high molecular weight. In addition, appropriate control of the composition of the monomers can provide a completely amorphous copolymer.

Therefore, it is possible to reduce the power consumption of a PDP by driving a PDP including a scan electrode and an address electrode that are sufficiently distant apart from each other in such a manner that a positive bias voltage can be applied to an address electrode during a reset period.
