  • Publication number: 20100276010
Abstract: An attachment (A) for use with a flexible extension device (10) for a faucet (F). The device has an elongate flexible section (12), a coupling (14) which connects to the attachment for turning a faucet handle (H), and a second end of which is connected to a handle (18) operable by a user to remotely turn the faucet handle and open or close the faucet. The attachment includes a first plate (22) installed under the faucet handle about a valve stem (S) to which the faucet handle is attached. A second plate (24) fits over the faucet handle and has a boss (32) formed on an outer surface (34) thereof for engagement with the coupling to connect the attachment to the flexible extension. A plurality of fasteners (40) attaches the plates together with the faucet handle sandwiched between them.

  • Publication number: 20100126615
Abstract: A flexible extension device (10) for remotely operating a faucet (F). The faucet's handle (H) is removed for one end (12) of the device to be coupled to the faucet's stem (M). The handle is then attached to the other end (16) of the device. The device has a length sufficient so that when installed, the handle is readily accessible to the faucet's user. Because the extension device is flexible, it can be appropriately bent or twisted so the handle is now conveniently located for the user. The device, when installed, allows ready access for the user so they can remotely operate the faucet to open and shut it, and regulate the flow of water from the faucet.

  • Patent number: 6062412
Abstract: A container cover (10) for use with different types of containers (C) such as garbage cans and storage receptacles. The cover includes a waterproof, stretchable material (12) fitting over the mouth (M) of the container, regardless of the size and shape of the mouth. The cover is sufficiently long so as to extend beneath handles (H) on the side of the container. Fasteners (20) are provided to secure the base (28) of the cover to the side (S) of the container, the cover having notches (22) for the container's handles to be easily grasped by someone wanting to lift or move the container. The portion of the cover extending over the mouth of the container includes an openable closure (30) which allows the user to place objects in the container when the closure is opened, and to keep them from being spilled or gotten at when the closure is closed.

  • Patent number: 5687893
Abstract: A package restraint (10) is for use in automotive vehicles. The restraint is placed in a seat (S) normally occupied by an individual and is held in place by the seat belt (B) worn by an occupant. The restraint has a rear piece (12) which fits against the upright portion of a passenger seat and which is held in place by the seat belt. A bottom section (16) of the restraint provides a seat for the package (P) or article to rest upon. The length of this bottom section may be adjustable to accommodate different size packages. A front section (18) of the restraint is also an upright piece. The front and rear pieces have openings (24a-24d) for a belt (22) to fit through the pieces and about the package to secure the restraint and package together. The restraint is made of a lightweight, fabric covered material for ease of use and to protect the package and seat in which the restraint is used. The belt is of a non-slip material so as not to fall off the package once secured thereto.
