Abstract: A method for controlling a washing operation of a washing machine, to which boiling washing courses performed at different temperatures and having a controller operating rate are selectively applied to increase protecting and sterilizing effects of clothes for infants. The method includes forming a washing program comprising an infant clothes-oriented program; selecting the infant clothes-oriented program out of the washing program; and performing the washing operation according to an operating mode of the infant clothes-oriented program, when the infant clothes-oriented program is selected.

Abstract: A washing machine that is capable of providing a stable washing mode even when a washing-related device is abnormal during a washing operation is disclosed. When a steam generation unit, which generates high-temperature steam into a drum, is abnormal, the operation of the steam generation unit is interrupted, and an operation for driving a washing heater mounted in a tub is performed, or an operation for driving a drying unit, which supplies high-temperature dry hot air into the drum, is performed. A steam substituting algorithm is provided when the steam generation unit is abnormal during the operation using the high-temperature steam. Consequently, the interruption of the washing operation due to the abnormal steam injection function is prevented, and therefore, the reliability of the product is improved while the inconvenience of use is minimized.

Abstract: A tree data structure is stored in a flash memory device by storing a leaf node and an index node comprising a pointer to the leaf node in a same page of the flash memory device, which may be read on a per-page basis. A modified version of the leaf node and a modified version of the index node may be stored in a new page of the flash memory device when, for example, a key value is added to or deleted from the leaf node.

Abstract: A method for controlling a rinsing operation of a washing machine, which a heating course is selected in the rinsing operation to increase sterilization of laundry and removal of residual detergent. The method includes selecting a rinsing mode before a washing operation is started; and performing rinsing operations, comprising heating rinsing water, according to the selected rinsing mode, when the washing operation according to a selected washing course is completed. The rinsing operations are repeated according to kinds and states of laundry, thereby increasing rinsing capacity. Further, since the temperature of the rinsing water is increased using a heating unit in the final rinsing operation or in each of a designated number of times of the rinsing operations in the late stage, including the final rinsing operation, of the repeated rinsing operations, it is possible to increase removal of residual' detergent and sterilization of the laundry, thus allowing the laundry to be sanitized.

Abstract: A dielectric composition for plasma display panels is disclosed. The dielectric composition includes 15 to 60 weight percent of ZnO, 10 to 50 weight percent of B2O3, 0 to 10.0 weight percent of Li2O, and 2 to 20 weight percent of RO, wherein R is an alkaline earth metal. Such dielectric composition lowers the firing temperature during the manufacture of the dielectric composition.

The control panel assembly includes a control panel mounted on an outer case of the washing machine, a first decoration member penetrating the control panel and enclosing a push button, a second decoration member enclosing the first decoration member. The second decoration member supports a rear side of the first decoration member and is supported by the control panel and the first decoration member. A transparent cover covers the control panel and supports a front portion of the first decoration member.
