  • Publication number: 20160082867
Abstract: Example embodiments presented herein are directed toward a seat assembly, and corresponding method, for seat retraction in a vehicle during an autonomous driving mode. Seat refraction is provided by detecting a user initiated input for the retraction. Thereafter, a front seat is refracted such that an occupant of the front seat is out of reach of at least one driving control input device, for example, a steering wheel, pedals or a gear shift, during an autonomous driving mode. Such seat retraction prevents the occupant from providing inadvertent driving inputs to the driving control input devices during the autonomous driving mode.

  • Publication number: 20150253778
Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for prediction of time available for autonomous driving, in a vehicle having autonomous driving capabilities and including at least one remote sensor configured to acquire vehicle surrounding information and at least one vehicle dynamics sensor configured to determine vehicle dynamics parameters. The method and apparatus include at least one of a positioning arrangement that provides map data with associated information, a route planning arrangement that enables route planning, and a real time information acquiring arrangement that acquires at least one of real time traffic information and real time weather information. The time available is calculated based on a planned route and at least one of vehicle surrounding information, vehicle dynamics parameters, map data with associated information, real time traffic information and real time weather information, for the planned route. The calculated time is output to a human machine interface in a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20150001316
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method of forming a printhead includes forming on a front-side surface of a substrate, a thin film layer and a plurality of fluidic channels and ejection chambers. The method also includes forming a slot through the substrate from the back-side surface to the front-side surface, where the back-side and front-side surfaces generally oppose one another. The slot has a length extending along a long axis of the substrate and a width extending along a short axis of the substrate. The method includes forming recessed regions into the back-side surface of the substrate at both ends of the slot that extend beyond the length of the slot.

  • Publication number: 20140121039
Abstract: A batting tee that may have an adjustable height. The batting tee may include a base and a riser mounted to the base in a substantially vertical position. A support member may extend laterally from the riser and may support a ball and a stopper. The ball may be attached to the support member by a cord. When a user hits the ball, the ball may rotate and hit the stopper. The stopper prevents the ball from continuing to rotate and the ball may fall back to its original position.
