Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein include systems and methods for delivery of secondary content to a user device. The secondary content may comprise events synchronized to primary content. In a particular embodiment, the process may include: receiving a request from a user device to access secondary content associated with a primary content; determining whether the user device is entitled to receive the secondary content; and if the user device is entitled to receive the secondary content, providing the secondary content to the user device for the user device to play whenever the user watches the primary content. The secondary content comprises at least one of an audio track, and a subtitle file, and the audio track comprises at least one of an alternate language audio track not provided in the primary content, and an audio track with words omitted from the primary content.

Abstract: Systems and methods for voice searching media content based on metadata or subtitles are provided. Metadata associated with media content can be pre-processed at a media server. Upon receiving a vocal command representative of a search for an aspect of the media content, the media server performs a search for one or more portions of the media content relevant to the aspect of the media content being searched for. The media performs the search by matching the aspect of the media content being searched for with the pre-processed metadata.

Abstract: A first proximity-based device at a content player receives content modification data from a second proximity-based device within a product and/or a product package when the product or product package is placed within a proximity to the first proximity-based device. A processor at the content player performs modified playback of media content based on the content modification data.

The rolling slot configuration has a maximum quantity of available slots for devices authorized to receive content. The process automatically registers the device in an available slot of the rolling slot configuration based upon a determination of slot availability. The process authorizes the device to play content associated with a user entitlement. The process automatically deauthorizes the device to play the content based upon a deauthorization parameter being met. The process removes a registration of the device from the available slot. The process moves a registration of an additional device with a higher priority than the device to the available slot.

The process detects, at a first proximity-based device within a first display device, a presence of a second proximity-based device within a second display device. The presence is within a proximity. Further, the process displays a first portion of a multi-display image at the first display device based upon a location of the first display device relative to the second display device.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for systems and methods for predictive delivery of high bit-rate content. The disclosed systems and methods provide an adaptive-bit-rate streaming (ABS) system with more robust information, thereby allowing more intelligent pre-caching of the media content. By providing greater information to the ABS system, the disclosed systems are able to foresee higher bit-rate segments that require greater attention, allowing the system to use such information to improve the playback experience.

Abstract: A process provides a multi-device display configuration. The process receives, at a master device, one or more device parameters from a plurality of display devices. The process also determines, at the master device, an arrangement of the plurality of display devices that provides a multi-device display. Further, the process sends, from the master device, one or more display indicia to the plurality of display devices that each of the plurality of display devices displays to allow one or more users to position the plurality of display devices in the arrangement. The process sends, from the master device, a first portion of the content to a first display device, and a second portion of the content to a second display device for the first and second display devices to simultaneously display the first and second portions of the content.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for user interaction with and curation of digital media content, such that users are able to specify a particular clip of video content, and utilize the clip in a desired way. The disclosed systems and methods allow users to view video content, select video clips within the video content, save video clips into a collection of video clips, and curate the collection of video clips. The disclosed systems and methods also allow users to view bookmarks indicating the positions of saved video clips within video content, and to interact with video clips within a video player.

Abstract: Disclosed are a digital media asset selection interface and method. The interface may comprise a plurality of digital media assets that are displayed to a user such that the user can navigate the digital media assets in a first direction and a second direction, such as a horizontal direction and a vertical direction. In a more particular embodiment, the digital media assets are listed horizontally such that assets listed to the left of a selection pane represent a “past” aspect and assets listed to the right of a selection pane represent a “future” aspect. The digital media assets listed vertically are related to one another in some way.

Abstract: A system for continuously packaging or sorting fragile articles having varying thicknesses in a stack includes a plurality of proportional shifters coupled to each of a plurality of stripping devices in an article infeed assembly. Each proportional shifter has an article gauge for measuring the height of a stack having a set or desired number of fragile articles, such as crackers or cookies. An article stripping device may be quickly and accurately adjusted in-process to measure the thickness of a set number of stacked articles contained in a given batch coming from an article infeed. The article gauge provides a measure of the height of a stack of a set number of articles sampled from an article infeed. The stack height is equivalent to the height of the stack of articles stripped by the strip feeder.
