  • Publication number: 20230379167
Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for application verification are provided. An application may generate a cryptographic key, and encrypt the cryptographic key with a predefined public key. A server, in data communication with the application, may include a predefined private key. The application may transmit the cryptographic key to the server. The server may receive, from the application, the cryptographic key; decrypt the cryptographic key using the predefined private key; encrypt an authorization token using the decrypted key; and transmit, to the client application, the authorization token via an out-of-band channel. The application may receive, from the server, the authorization token via the out-of-band channel; and decrypt the authorization token to obtain access to one or more services associated with the server.

  • Publication number: 20230362263
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to account lineage tracking and automatically executing responsive actions upon detecting an incomplete lineage chain. A computing platform may receive an account-change message from a database-level interceptor. The account-change message may include information identifying a first target account as a database-level source account and identifying a second target account associated with one or more target databases. The first target account may be associated with a target application configured to access the target database. After receiving the account-change message, the computing platform may determine, based on a failure to detect a source account associated with the first target account, that an account lineage chain associated with the account-change message is incomplete.

  • Publication number: 20230362159
Abstract: Systems, computer program products, and methods are described herein for a data obfuscation authentication security display session. The invention provides a secondary authentication by recognizing the initial access to a display screen and overlaying and presenting false information on the screen. The false screen may mimic that of a real account screen, but the personal information about the user is false. The invention then requires the user to perform a secondary authentication to gain access information on the display session that is not false. The invention may allow for a duress code implementation in place of the secondary authentication, which initiates security protocols, include a continuum based protocol arrangement of security protocols.

  • Publication number: 20230359716
Abstract: A security feature within an apparatus that includes a fingerprint scanner used for purposes of authentication. Specifically, a first indicator is detected that is a user input to a fingerprint scanner and indicates the occurrence of a duress-inducing event. In response to detecting the first indicator, (i) access to the apparatus is controlled, and (ii) access to functionality provided by the apparatus is controlled. As such, if the user is being forced to input their fingerprint by a nefarious entity desiring access to the apparatus, the present invention provides a means by which the user can covertly activate certain features on the apparatus that prevent the nefarious entity from access to the apparatus and/or functionality provided by the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20230350206
Abstract: Devices and methods for dynamic power configuration (e.g., reduction) for thermal management (e.g., mitigation) in a wearable electronic device such as an eyewear device. The wearable electronic device monitors its temperature and, responsive to the temperature, configures the services it provides to operate in different modes for thermal mitigation (e.g., to prevent overheating). For example, based on temperature, the wearable electronic device adjusts sensors (e.g., turns cameras on or off, changes the sampling rate, or a combination thereof) and adjusts display components (e.g., adjusted rate at which a graphical processing unit generates images and a visual display is updated). This enables the wearable electronic device to consume less power when temperatures are too high in order to provide thermal mitigation.

  • Publication number: 20230351666
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for performing operations for estimating power usage of an AR experience. The operations include: accessing resource utilization data associated with execution of an augmented reality (AR) experience; applying a machine learning technique to the resource utilization data to estimate power consumption of the AR experience, the machine learning technique being trained to establish a relationship between a plurality of training resource utilization data associated with training AR experiences and corresponding ground-truth power consumption of the training AR experiences; and adjusting one or more operations of the AR experience to reduce power consumption based on the estimated power consumption of the AR experience.

  • Publication number: 20230342877
Abstract: A cached cloud rendering system for saving power and rendering time, which reduces motion to photon time. The cached cloud rendering system may utilize a cloud server to render and cache frames requested by a mobile computing device, which distributes the processing workload to a server system and results in increased battery life of the mobile computing device. Distributing the processing workload to the server system provides an additional benefit of reducing workload on the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) of the mobile computing device.

  • Publication number: 20230344930
Abstract: Automatically and covertly activating audio/video mechanisms within a mobile communication device when a user is confronted with a duress-inducing event or a situation based on receipt of a duress indicator. The duress indicator is a subtle user input, such as a personal gesture, personal audible code or device input that triggers the covert activation of audio/video recording mechanisms on a mobile communication device. As a result, audio and/or video data of a duress-inducing event can be captured absent other parties to the duress-inducing event being aware that audio/video data is being captured.

  • Publication number: 20230325243
Abstract: Systems and methods herein describe an intelligent preemption system. The preemption system identifies a high priority task and a low priority task that are running on a processor, estimates a preemption save time and an execution time for the low priority task using a machine learning model trained to analyze historical preemption data, determines that the estimate preemption save time for the low priority task satisfies a first preemption condition and that the estimated execution time for the low priority task satisfies a second preemption condition, and in response to determining first preemption condition and second preemption condition are satisfied, scheduling a preemption event associated with the high priority task and the low priority task.

  • Publication number: 20230293805
Abstract: In some embodiments, a negative pressure wound therapy device includes a negative pressure source and a controller configured to, in response to determining that the negative pressure source is directly fluidically connected to a wound dressing without a canister between the two, operate the negative pressure source in a first mode; otherwise, operate the negative pressure source in a second, different mode. The controller can be further configured to, in response to determining that a level of activity of the negative pressure source over a first time duration satisfies at least one of a leak or blockage condition, provide an indication of at least one of a leak or blockage and, in response to determining that the level of activity does not satisfy the at least one of the leak or blockage condition over a second time duration subsequent to the first time duration, discontinue providing the indication.
