    Abstract: The magnetless rotary electric machine includes an annular rotor, an outer stator and an inner stator. The annular rotor includes an annular rotor yoke portion, outer salient poles, outer rotor coils, inner salient poles, inner rotor coils, first rectifying devices and second rectifying devices. The first salient pole is configured to be magnetized by an induction current induced by the first coil. Each of the first rectifying devices is configured to rectify current such that a direction of a magnetic pole of the first salient pole is a first direction. The second salient pole is configured to be magnetized by an induction current induced by the second coil. Each of the second rectifying devices is configured to rectify current such that an direction of a magnetic pole of the second salient pole is a second direction. The second direction is a reverse direction to the first direction.

    Abstract: A magnetless rotating electric machine has an outer stator, an inner stator, and an annular rotor interposed between the outer stator and the inner stator. A rotor yoke coil is wound around one side of the rotor yoke and around another side of the rotor yoke along the circumferential direction with the respective outer-inner salient pole pairs sandwiched therebetween. Rectifying elements make a magnetic pole polarity of the outer salient poles and magnetic pole polarity of the inner salient poles, which are magnetized by an induced current of the rotor yoke coil caused by magnetization of the outer stator and the inner stator, identical with each other, and also make magnetic pole polarities of the adjacent outer-inner salient pole pairs opposite each other.

When an engine rotation fluctuation amount in an EGR OFF state is less than a first determination value, and when the engine rotation fluctuation amount in an EGR ON state is greater than a second determination value, the ECU imposes an EGR restriction for restricting the EGR flow rate. When it is determined that the engine rotation fluctuation amount in the EGR ON state is greater than a third determination value less than the second determination value after the EGR restriction is imposed, the ECU continues the EGR restriction.

The transfer film can accordingly be covered over the step portion whilst suppressing air from remaining between the transfer film and the step portion.
