  • Patent number: 10243944
Abstract: A device may collect environmental information surrounding the device. Based on the collected environmental information, the device may automatically identify a potentially secured location that has lower security risk. When a potentially secured location is identified, the device may prompt the user to setup a security profile having reduced security requirement for the secured location. The device may store and associate the security profile with the secured location. The device may activate the security profile with reduced security requirement when the device is in the secured area. Further, the security profile may require that certain features of the device be disabled when the device is in the secured location.

  • Patent number: 10210659
Abstract: Method, apparatus, and system for providing an item image to a client for display in a contextual environment are described. In some embodiments, the user may select an item for display in the contextual environment, and the user may position a camera coupled to a processing system to capture the contextual environment. A placeholder may be generated and associated with an item selected by a user. In an embodiment, the generated placeholder may be placed in a location within the contextual environment, and the user's processing system may send a visual data stream of the camera-captured environment to a server. In an embodiment, the user's processing device may receive a modified data stream including an image of the item, and the user's processing device may display the item image in the same location as the placeholder.

  • Patent number: 10198569
Abstract: A software widget running on a user device may be designed to operate in a locked or an unlocked mode. In unlocked mode, the user has full interactivity with the widget. In locked mode, however, at least some of the interactivity with the widget is restricted, despite the fact that the widget still operates normally otherwise while in the locked mode. While in locked mode, user input may determine if the widget should be unlocked.

  • Patent number: 10165060
Abstract: A communication device may have a set of web cookies designated for a specific location. When the communication device enters the specific location, the set of web cookies, which are designated for the specific location, may be used to customize a web page displayed at the communication device. When the communication device exits the specific location, the set of web cookies, which are designated for the specific location, may be inactivated. Different sets of web cookies may be designated for different locations. For example, a set of web cookies may be designated for home and another set of web cookies may be designated for work. The communication device may activate an appropriate set of web cookies based on the location of the communication device.

  • Publication number: 20180137515
Abstract: A method and system facilitate recognition of commands to initiate actions within an electronic marketplace on behalf of a user. A machine detects a first command issued by a user. The machine, based on the detecting of the first command, identifies a request to generate a model of a physical object in the environment of the user. The machine generates the model based on a set of spatial data pertaining to the physical object. The machine, based on the model, causes a display of a graphical representation of the physical object in a user interface of a client device. The machine identifies a request to initiate an action with respect to the physical object via the client device on behalf of the user. The machine automatically initiates the action via the client device on behalf of the user. The action uses the graphical representation of the physical object.

In locked mode, however, at least some of the interactivity with the widget is restricted, despite the fact that the widget still operates normally otherwise while in the locked mode. • Patent number: 9898742
Abstract: A method and system are provided to facilitate recognition of gestures representing commands to initiate actions within an electronic marketplace on behalf of a user. Spatial data about an environment external to a depth sensor may be received by an action machine. The action machine may generate a first model of a body of the user based on a first set of spatial data received at a first time. The action machine may then generate a second model of the body of the user based on a second set of spatial data received at a second time. The action machine may further determine that a detected difference between the first and second models corresponds to a gesture by the user, and that this gesture represents a command by the user to initiate an action within the electronic marketplace on behalf of the user.

  • Publication number: 20170249071
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a method of dynamically optimizing a user interface on an electronic device is provided. A user interface is presented to a user, wherein the user interface includes one or more elements. User interactions with the one or more elements are then measured. The one or more elements of the user interface are then dynamically modified based on the measured user interaction.

  • Publication number: 20170177849
Abstract: A method of providing a user with an option to access a protected system by satisfying a reduced security measure is disclosed. An attempt by the user to access the protected system is detected. It is detected that a first security token system is within a first proximity to the protected system. Based on the detecting of the attempt by the user to access the protected system and the detecting that the first security token system is within the first proximity, the user is provided with the option to access the protected system by satisfying the reduced security measure.
