  • Publication number: 20140374577
Abstract: An optical power meter including a mechanical interface that establishes a predetermined air gap, while avoiding physical contact with the sensitive area of the DUT. The mechanical interface is formed such that the test instrument contacts the DUT in the non-sensitive region over an area large enough to establish contact pressure that is well within the strength of the DUT's material. Accordingly, the non-contacting optical element enables optical power to be collected and relayed with a quantifiable and repeatable power loss. A high-NA, large area optical element is used to collect and relay optical power accurately while maintaining low sensitivity to axial or radial alignment.

  • Patent number: 8916919
Abstract: A metal capacitor structure includes a plurality of line level structures vertically interconnected with via level structures. Each first line level structure and each second line level structure includes a set of parallel metal lines that is physically joined at an end to a rectangular tab structure having a rectangular horizontal cross-sectional area. A first set of parallel metal lines within a first line level structure and a second set of parallel metal lines within a second line level structure are interdigitated and parallel to each other, and can collectively form an interdigitated uniform pitch structure. Because the rectangular tab structures do not protrude toward each other within a region between two facing sidewalls of the rectangular tab structures, sub-resolution assist features (SRAFs) can be employed to provide a uniform width and a uniform pitch throughout the entirety of the interdigitated uniform pitch structure.

  • Patent number: 8763262
Abstract: A measuring tool is used to measure the shape of a person's body. The tool has a belt and at least one measuring tape attached, which extends perpendicularly to the belt. The tool is held to the person's waist with the belt. While the person is standing, shape measurements are typically made at one or more points based on the measuring tape. This measuring tape extends a length sufficient to include the person's seat and hip, where the shape will be measured, but will generally not be as long as the person's leg or long enough to touch the ground.
