Abstract: A client for playing a video stream and a method thereof adaptively control the video play in accordance with variable communication environments and the size of the video stream to be transmitted. The client includes a demultiplexer for generating elementary stream (ES) packets by demultiplexing a video stream; a FIFO buffer for temporarily storing the ES packets; a play timing modification unit for reducing a gap of a play time caused by a burst error by modifying time stamps of the ES packets that exist in the FIFO buffer if it is judged that the burst error occurs; and a video decoder for generating an output video by decoding the ES packets of which the time stamps are modified. The client can relatively improve the quality of the video streaming in multimedia communications through a wireless or wire network.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for limiting a content usage authority scope of a client by using metadata in an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service. The method performed by a metadata server adds control information to the metadata and transmits the metadata, wherein the content usage authority scope of the client is defined in the control information. The client of a user limits a content control operation according to a user input by using the control information extracted from the metadata.

The stored files include a captured image file, a hypertext file, or a combination thereof. The print ordering file uses an asset ID of the MPV format including a definition of a media asset, or an element or an attribute of an XML format. An image file and a hypertext file including multimedia data can be printed in a variety of forms without print control information restriction.

Abstract: A method of printing a captured image file using an ordering file includes: receiving selection information for selecting a file to be printed from among image files, multimedia files, or combinations of these files, and print control information for the selected file, input by a user; generating the ordering file using a markup language based on the input selection information and print control information; and transmitting the generated ordering file to a printing device through a predetermined interface.
