Abstract: A multimedia content display system is provided having a scheduling function, as well as a method of reproducing content using the system. The system includes a server which transmits designated content to a corresponding client at a designated time based on schedule information of the corresponding client, and one or more clients which receive the designated content from the server and reproduce the content. Accordingly, content can be designated for a particular month, day, and time such that designated content can be reproduced at a designated time and, thus, a server can efficiently manage a plurality of display devices.

Abstract: A content display system for sharing contents between display apparatuses is provided. The content display system for displaying content, includes a first local interface module connected to a storage device storing the content, a first device interface module receiving a message requesting for the content stored in the storage device, a first display apparatus including a first device agent module extracting the requested content from the storage device through the first local interface module and transmitting the extracted content through the first device interface module, a second device agent module generating the message, a second device interface module transmitting the generated message to the first display apparatus and receiving the extracted content, a content processing module converting the received content into content having an output format suitable for display, and a second display apparatus including a display module outputting the converted content.

Abstract: Disclosed is a content displaying system and method using message communications. An embodiment of the system includes a server to store a large number of content therein, a device interface module to receive a message to display content or to receive content from the server, a device agent module for creating a message requesting content included in a list of content from the server, where the device interface module has received the message containing the content list and transmits it to the server through the device interface module, and for receiving the requested content from the server through the device interface module, a content processing module to convert the received content into a suitable output format, and a display apparatus including a display module to output the converted content.

Abstract: There are provided a system and a method for printing out image data and text data. The system for printing out image data and text data includes: a mobile device transmitting a document including link information on an image data file, file identification information for identifying the image data file, and text data, and then transmitting the image data file identified by the file identification information; and a printing-out device receiving the document, extracting the file identification information for identifying the image data file linked by the link information, receiving the image data file identified by the extracted file identification information, and printing out the received image data file and the text data.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for displaying contents are provided. The apparatus includes a device interface module automatically sensing a server connected to the display apparatus through a network and receiving content pushed according to a predetermined schedule and a control command from the server, a control and monitoring module receiving the control command from the device interface module, performing state control corresponding to the control command, and sensing a state change, a content processing module converting the content received from the device interface module into a format suitable for display, a display module outputting the content converted by the content processing module, and a device agent module analyzing information received through the device interface module and performing an operation according to the analyzed information.

Abstract: Provided are a wireless printing system and method based on wireless Local Area Network (LAN). A method of requesting a wireless printing, includes: requesting a printer that exists in a wireless LAN to perform a print job; and communicating with the printer according to a standard of the wireless LAN in order to transmit data regarding the print job to the printer. The method provides wireless direct printing suitable for a wireless LAN environment.

Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for directly printing a synthesized image combined with a background template. The method includes selecting a background template image to be combined with a photographic image, combining the selected background template image with the photographic image and composing a synthesized image, and transferring the photographic image and combination information of the background template image and the photographic image to a printer.

Abstract: A wireless printing system and method based on IEEE 802.11 are provided. A method of requesting a print job, includes: scanning a printer that functions as an AP in a wireless LAN; obtaining an address of the printer from the scanned result; and requesting a predetermined print job by having the obtained address as a destination. The method enables to locate a printer that functions as an Access Point (AP) while stations associate with a Basic Service Set (BSS) in a wireless Local Area Network (LAN) based on IEEE 802.11.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of transmitting and storing print or display control information for printing or displaying an asset in various formats, and a recording medium having embodied thereon a computer program for executing the method. The print or display control information transmission and storage method includes: generating a first file including metadata and a print or display order for controlling printing or displaying of the asset; generating a second file on the basis of the metadata and the print or display order included in the first file and print or display form information for the asset; and selecting and transmitting one of the first file and the second file according to operation conditions of a device for printing or displaying the asset.

Abstract: A direct printing method and for printing multimedia data including an image and text are provided. The direct printing method includes composing hyperlink information on image data to be printed by an image supplying apparatus and text using a predetermined markup language, transferring the markup document resulting from the composing to a printing apparatus directly connected with the image supplying apparatus via a predetermined interface to perform a direct printing job, and transferring font data corresponding to the text data to the printing apparatus in response to a request from the printing apparatus. Multimedia data including text and an image can be printed by performing the direct printing job.

Abstract: A method of providing multimedia data for direct printing and a direct printing method and apparatus are provided. The method of providing multimedia data for direct printing includes composing hyperlink information on image data to be printed by an image supplying apparatus and text using a predetermined markup language, transferring the markup document resulting from the composing to a printing apparatus directly connected with the image supplying apparatus via a predetermined interface for performing a direct printing job, and transferring the image data to the printing apparatus in response to a request from the printing apparatus. When a direct printing job from a photographing apparatus to a printing apparatus is performed, multimedia data including text and an image can be printed.

Abstract: A client for playing a video stream and a method thereof adaptively control the video play in accordance with variable communication environments and the size of the video stream to be transmitted. The client includes a demultiplexer for generating elementary stream (ES) packets by demultiplexing a video stream; a FIFO buffer for temporarily storing the ES packets; a play timing modification unit for reducing a gap of a play time caused by a burst error by modifying time stamps of the ES packets that exist in the FIFO buffer if it is judged that the burst error occurs; and a video decoder for generating an output video by decoding the ES packets of which the time stamps are modified. The client can relatively improve the quality of the video streaming in multimedia communications through a wireless or wire network.
